It's not that simple though, inflation, petrol prices, etc. have all gone up, yet their wages haven't meaning less money each week. People on minimum wage or just above are really struggling at the minute.

You were talking about players contract. I believe an asset is classed as ownership of a product which can be traded/sold for financial gain. Having a short term contract on something nobody would be willing to buy is throwing money away in my eyes.

If they are worthless to begin with, for example Bell, Baker, McSheffrey, then why would they increase the asset's? Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

It's a gimmick, gimmicks sell. Why did they copy it? One & one reason only, money. Products like the Move & Kinect are not the future of gaming.

I think it's just a gimmicky product like the PS move & Kinect. Once the novetly wears off they have no sustainable market. Nintendo take the piss though, they drip feed their customers with new parts/features. They do have a place in the market but I don't think any hardcore gamer takes it...
