    McGoldrick was NOT offside...

That would've been the argument for cricket, tennis, both codes of rugby, American Football before technology was intro'd in them sports. Football needs to move with the times, them 5th and 6th officials was a good idea, but they failed as they do nothing in terms of decision making, even when...

    Interest on McGoldrick grows...

Bigi was given the opportunity to go to one of the biggest clubs in England whereas McG has the opportunity to go to a mid table championship side. (Bit of exaggeration but see my point) But I do agree, nonetheless, that just because a player 'loves' it at CCFC, don't mean they'll stay!

    Interest on McGoldrick grows...

I'm not saying this is going to happen, but look at Clingan, left Norwich to play for us, short term, better move, long term, well, we got relegated to L1 Norwich are now in the prem. Sometimes you have to think about long term rather than short term even if it means playing at a worse level...

McGOLDRICK v MARLON - who best for CCFC ??

After he's done his 'time' in prison, then why not? Either way, he's still a c**t.

But that's got nothing to do with footballing ability...

    Interest on McGoldrick grows...

The FC Twente opportunity is interesting... If he goes, I want him to go to Holland. But I'm not convinced he'll start at the teams interested (bar us!) maybe Blackpool and Burnley.

McGOLDRICK v MARLON - who best for CCFC ??

Shut up :) we're in a lower league and he should do better (which he has) but you can't really compare the two.

McGOLDRICK v MARLON - who best for CCFC ??

King, we're a league lower now so McG should do better. However, if we got promoted and McG is in the team... It'll be interesting. I also think McG has potential to be a very good Championship striker, better than MK was for CCFC.

    Pompey Match Thread

From the clubs ou've listed, I think MKD and Sheff U will be top 6 easily, Sheff U will probably win it, however, I don't think Tranmere will be in the top 6 (at the end of season), in and around 8th. Notts County will be top 6, 3rd or 4th, Crawley, I don't think they'll get top 6 and I hope...

    Tactics home

We played 5 in midfield today, 4-4-2 2 games before that? So Moussa must've have played LM then because Jennings and Bailey were are CMs and Baker on the right, with McG and Sheff upfront, that or the formation changed to 4-2-3-1 in the middle of the game? (Making Moussa changing position)

I see what you're saying, but, there not performing now and we are, 3 points were there for the taking! Disappointed but we need 3 points v Walsall though

So why didn't you say that in reply to my OP? And I think 4-2-3-1 would be a good choice, Moussa LW and Barton AMC, he scored today, but I don't rate Sheff. I think our only striker at the min who is worth playing upfront is McG, and we have good midfield options sitting on the bench so it's a...

    Tactics home

Disappointed to see Moussa not on the LW, he's done really well last 2 games there so this move puzzled me somewhat, Barton would've been a good option at AMC IMO as he has been in good form lately.

Your reply to my post replied to nothing I said in my post  and I said tactics, not formation, as well as concentration and mental strength lead to conceding late goals...

    Tactics home

I disagree, it was unfortunate we conceded in stoppage time, where concentration and mental strength are key, but tactics play apart, counter attacking/just go for it tacticss (Sunderland v WBA today on MOTD for WBA's 4th) but we've blown away Hartlepool and Colchester, and at home, we draw v...

    Tactics home

I didn't get to go today, work took the mick, really annoyed but, it seems to me, after another home game where we have dropped points at home v a weak side, it makes me think, should we change our tactics for home games? No need to change away game tactics as we are really good away (sounds...

City 1-1 Pompey: Ratings & Thoughts

I didn't go today, pretty pissed off with work but there you go. Anyway, my mate went to the game and said Wood + Christie were at fault for goal but you've given them 7 and 8 respectively, I suspect you're being generous although I will give he also said we shouldn't have drew and dominated.

3-0 being brave, and it won't happen, we'll end up losing now
