Simms isn’t that guy. He’s an introvert striker that needs confidence to perform. When he’s confident he gets shots off quickly, his first touch is better etc. When he’s lacking confidence the opposite occurs.

Not really the issue. The issue is about finding teams that you are well matched to compete against rather than being beaten easily or winning easily. It won’t however help our forwards confidence that they haven’t scored in pre season, after all they were not really firing at the end of last...

It’s a real problem finding the right level of opposition …. Too good and frankly we are getting comfortably beaten, or play Bristol rovers and win at a stroll. The upside however is that it’s still clear where we need to strengthen to have a greater likelihood of success than last season
