I'm not going to say too much more about it but I know that one of the people behind the 'blame the owners not the breed' banner has been savaged by one of his own dogs!
They're not the issue as such though I agree they won't get us top 6.
Not recruiting players to do the stuff they can't do is the issue .
Eccles was fine doing what he does in our good run at the end of last season as was Kelly when called on but they were alongside Hamer and to a lesser extent...
He's definitely better than the naysayers say.
But he falls short whet it comes to getting us on the front foot quickly enough.
We've really left ourselves short not bringing in that type of midfielder, whatever the reason behind it
If he's ready, I agree.
Though, and I say this as someone who has constantly defended Allen on here, when he's the one to pin your hopes on then you've got problems.
Anyone who thought Hs2 wasn't going to end up this way is living in cloud cuckoo land.
It's just typical of big infrastructure in this country, a fucking shambles.
If its going to go ahead we need to build the lot, all phases as originally planned.
He won't be happy with that!
Saw a thing the other day where someone went up to him and referred to him as the singing detective, he replied, 'at least you didn't say fucking dumbledore'
The top teams are a lot more fluid these days. Arteta claimed Arsenal changed shape over 40 times during a game.
Easier to do with a pool of top class international midfielders than with Kelly, Eccles, Allen and a school boy from Brighton.
We don't have a box to box midfielder, we don't really have a fit ball carrying .mdfielder though Allen can do it a bit.
This is the heart of our problems.
Just don't see him as ready to be playing anywhere other than AM at the moment and he looks raw there.
I actually like him but think we've got him a season too early, be happy to be proven wrong.
