    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

It costs £20K a season to join FootballCV so you would imagine they can afford to pay a hire fee for the Ricoh. Nothing gives any indication that ACL are losing money on this other than a few of the regulars on here trying to imply it's the case.

    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

They also do their training at St George's Park, who pays for that? Unless you're suggesting ACL are making a loss on this then who cares.

    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

That's all well and good but have either of those teams expressed a desire to play there and if they have is there anything to suggest they have approached ACL and been told it's not possible?

    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

What does it matter what they are paying unless you are stating ACL are taking a loss on this. In which case is there any evidence to back that up?

    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

Why is it laughable? I've seen nothing that says ACL are taking a loss on this so we can sumarise this as ACL taking on a new customer from whom they will make a profit. Not sure what business school you went to but that's generally not regarded as laughable and actually is the aim of most...

    Ricoh Arena Has New Tennants!!

Who cares. I can't imagine ACL were going round courting them, its more likley they've seen a great facility lying empty and thought it would be a good selling point for their academy if they said they played at the Ricoh. It's not going to impact on CCFC in any way so why are people getting...

    The Ricoh is available instead

I had tickets for that game, was at my folks in Coventry and they convinced me there was no chance of the game being on and to head back home before the weather got too bad. Ended up just about being able to listen to the game on CWR stuck in the snow at the M40 turning for the A34. Took me...

    Lester playing at the Ricoh

After the constant we are debt free from Ranson I recall Fisher assuring us at the fans forum (not the last lot, the one before that) that SISU had converted all the money they'd put in to equity, seems he wasn't telling the truth that day either!

Sisu lack of ambition & investment

Think a lot will depend on what happens at the end of the season. He's bound to be in demand so will at the very least want to see some sign of ambition from SISU, more than likley with some assurances about a return to Coventry. If he doesn't get that who would blame him, or any of the...

Pressley not happy with Clarke at all

If you refuse to do your job surely there should be consequences? I know I couldn't just decide to stop turning up and keep getting paid! Wonder what the bomb squad members make of Elvis stating "there is a right way to leave a club"?! Can imagine a few of them weren't thrilled at the way their...

I'm not sure what people are expecting the council to do. Sure you can make an argument that in the past the rent was too high, although there is the counter argument that they were offered alternative sliding scale deals. You can also make an argument about matchday revenues, again there is a...

    Lester playing at the Ricoh

I can't believe what I'm reading in this thread. Some people need to get a grip. Leicester's U21s can't play where they usually play as it is waterlogged. I would guess that they don't want to use the King Power as they want to protect the pitch if there's been a lot of rain. Their groundmans...

17 year old george Thomas to get debut against orient

I'm a bit concerned SiSU will let Clarke go right before the deadline and then claim it was all last minute and there was no time to get anyone in. Still the last time we sold our top scorer in the January window it all worked out well for us

Freehold of The Arena AND all its surrounds?!?

Didn't Bob Ainsworth post a map showing some of the land (one of the car parks?) belonged to the council and imply that SISU wanted that handed over to them as well?

Are Otium Directors breaking the law?

You're not suggesting that aren't being truthful with us are you?

Are Otium Directors breaking the law?

I know that, you know that. Labovich, Fisher and the FL all seem to think otherwise.

Are Otium Directors breaking the law?

Let's just assume for a minute that SISU do intend to build a new stadium in the next 3 - 5 years. That leaves them with 2 options: 1) play at the Ricoh for free this season and £150K a year after that until new stadium is ready. Crowds would be a minimum of 10K, probably more with the way we...

    Letter in Telegraph

Well if that's true what's everyone moaning about! It's those extra 3.8 miles that I was upset about.

    cant get over 10pt deduction

I suspect you would struggle to find any other examples of a football club going into administration being followed by the revaluation the football club employees no players and only deals in property!

A few observations from the Emirates experience

I like the Emirates, think Arsenal have done a good job of making a new bowl stadium feel like home. That said a lot of what they've done could be replicated at the Ricoh. Things like the flags with former players on lampposts approaching the ground, the building wraps and similar could easily...
