Wasps to get off on the wrong foot with SISU?

Good point, you need to be careful about making these things public. With so many other teams wanting to build training facilities you never know who might try and get in before you.

I might just go and watch Wasps

This is what baffles me about SISU. No matter what is happening in the background it isn't that difficult to put someone out front who comes across well and says all the right things - irrespective of if they believe what they're saying or not. Instead we've had a steady stream of total idiots...

Wasps to get off on the wrong foot with SISU?

No idea if it is going be near the arena but apparently Wasps unveiled the plans for their new training ground at a ST holder Q&A and from the comments on their forum it's pretty impressive stuff. Big complex with indoor and outdoor pitches. Sure the plans will turn up online before too long.

    vs Crewe

This is dire. Any team on a bad run must love it when they see they've got us next game. Why can we never put away these teams, last week and this week we should have been looking at boosting our goal difference but chances are instead we're going to end up with 1 point out of 6. You may well...

    Black and White

Used to go to some Cambridge United games when I lived down there. They were knocking around what is now L1 / L2 level at the time and pretty much everyone of their supporters supported a prem team as well, mainly Arsenal or Spurs as they were both fairly close.

    Steve Cotterill

For it to be effective it needs to be a big points deduction, they also need to sort out the issue regarding moving between the FL and PL.

Would you now back a new ground?

My suspicion was always that they wanted to get it on the cheap and then mortgage it to the hilt. They could then use that money to pay the 'debt' to themselves, whether money they had genuinely put in or paper debt and walk away from the club by selling or letting the club go into admin. That...

Would you now back a new ground?

I've never understood the line of thought that the club was just a pawn in a property development deal. The same thing is being said of Wasps now. Doesn't' make sense to me, if you want to be a property developer you don't need to buy a team to hide it behind you just get on and do it. About...

Would you now back a new ground?

My stance hasn't changed really. If SISU can give a credible business case for a new ground and demonstrate how it will create a sustainable successful club I'd be happy to support it. Obviously dependent on location. Don't think I'm going to get that though. They could have done that when they...

    Higgs statement

So when we moved to Sixfields our new stadium was going to be ready in 3 years or 5 at the worst, that would be 2016/17 or 2018/19. We then move back to the Ricoh on the same schedule but just a month after moving back Fisher is already pushing it back to 2019/2020. If that was likely why not...

Now England are being franchised too!

Haven't got a problem with this really. The NFL has long been a franchise sport and have been talking about moving a team to England for years. Not sure they will be able to sustain 80K crowds week in week out but we'll see. England playing round the country is a positive for me. It worked well...

    Wasps attendances..

I don't think everyone will suddenly support them. What they're probably hoping is people will come along as its top level rugby and over a period of years become more attached to the team. People could even support 2 teams. I used to go and see Cambridge Utd when I lived down there, they were...

So if you were a Wasps fan which one of those two would you consider being the old team that's been around for decades?

    Wasps attendances..

I know zero about Rugby. Is it realistic that Cov could have gone from where they are now to the top level? If so presumably this move has pretty much killed any chance of that Thinking about it if they announced that Man Utd against Chelsea was going to be played at the Ricoh I imagine quite...

    View from a Wasps fan

Saw mention on the Wasps forum about how there used to be two clubs that made up Wasps but they were split in the 90s and it's the new company that was split off that has since moved around. God knows what that's all about, not sure how you can split a club in two!

If the Ltd companies right to buy Higgs shares is of no practical use why was everyone kicking off the other day about how out of order the council was when it was rumoured they were going to buy the shares off Higgs to get round it? Lets assume the right is only with Ltd, there's always the...

    Tim Fisher's logic?

Just assume he's making it up as he goes along and can't remember what rubbish he's come out with before. It all makes sense that way!
