Not sure why Grimes is on corners, Rudoni had been decent on them

We've got nobody to work the ball through midfield as Sheaf and Grimes just recycle the ball sideways abe backwards. It's ok to have one doing that but not two.

Sheaf really poor in this system, miss Torp as the link between midfield and attack. Rudoni need to play 5 yards deeper

    Callum O'Hare

Robins didn't confirm, the interview basically said that he and everyone knew/was resigned to Hamer and Vik leaving after the loss. There would have also been agent noise before the play off final that the club would have known the best chance of them staying was dependent on promotion...

Sheffield Utd- Bristol City 2nd leg play offs

Imagine having a pitch invasion for finishing 6th and then losing 6-0 in the semi final

Patterson is clearly not anywhere ready to play even 60 minutes at a high intensity imo

I would say we are more likely to get a result there than they were at the CBS heading into the match. Lots of people were predicting an easy victory for us against Sunderland based on home form, our record against Sunderland and how poor Sunderland have been recently. One mistake and that's...

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

Heard a lot of people say the mistake was the poor execution of the back pass, think the decision to attempt the pass was the bigger mistake

Match Thread Coventry v Sunderland Championship Playoff 1st Leg Friday 9th May

On replay have the say think MVE was way too far out to attempt the back pass to the keeper so was a poor decision to attempt in the fist place, he's nearly at the half way line when he plays it.

Woud be a brave decision but would consider having Sheaf on the bench and playing one of Allen or Eccles. Sheaf either wants to play in the same place as Grimes or he's trying to play a little further ahead like Torp was but isn't very good at that aspect of the game

Get your point but it's not wrong on Collins, Bassette and Binks though so can see some of the reasoning

Does show a little bit of a lack of tactical awareness imo. He did we'll against a tired defence when the game was stretched and they were chasing the match, completely different to how tonight's match was going to be.

Probably same back 4 and midfield 3 but tinker with the front 3. Think Simms should start, and you tell him to just try and tire out the Sunderland defence. Smash into them every chance you get and run the centre backs ragged. Haji probably doesn't deserve to start, one good match since he's...

Chin up lads, we're still in the tie in the second leg. Lots of possession with no real chances created, we were pretty poor. Big decisions for Lampard to make on the front three as Haji was hopeless and the game really didn't suit BTA strengths

Playoff Semi Final 1st Leg Bristol City - Sheffield Utd 08/05/25 8pm ko

Blatant red card for the Bristol player, double jeopardy is for genuine attempts to win the ball for things like miss timed tackles. If the scenario plays our exactly the same but the Bristol player doesn't wrap his legs around and play the ball after the foul, it would still be a penalty and...
