Not just him-the Telegraph wheeled out the ole “Pitbull” headline whenever they could aswell. Must have believed in the hype too. Embarrassing.

Good luck to Hull-hope the protests are a success.

too many key players injured... too many lightweights

Mmmm-not too far off, we are in the bottom tier and making a pigs ear of competing in it.

too many key players injured... too many lightweights

No-if your more into business then it’s great! More than double your money for the outlay. I revert back to my other post “the average football fan wants results on the pitch” and not on the balance sheet. Lets throw this out there then, if the academy closed Tomorrow and we were back in the...

I’d say it has limited success.

too many key players injured... too many lightweights

Another point-why go to Brighton academy/u23 to get Maguire Drew and Reading academy/u23to get Barrett? If again the emphasis is “the lifeblood of the club”, surely there are players in the academy that play in them 2 positions aswell?:emoji_thinking:Or again are they not good enough?

Or how about less emphasis on the academy? By that I mean downgrade a category and the costs wouldn’t be as high? Surely you will still get players coming through if good enough?

too many key players injured... too many lightweights

The average football fan wants to go and watch his football team compete and “win” football matches and we (you and I) are no different. They don’t care about politics/pounds/how the club is funded or the next accounts balance sheet. We are obviously against the grain when it comes to this with...

1 Did I not say bar 1 or 2? 2 Regrettable comment which was taken the wrong way (and apologised for) but keeps being used in debates. 3 Yes.

    Signings for next season

How or who actually makes a decision on some of the guff that makes it through to the first team. Now apparently I know it all as the resident Scout, Referee and have been known to read the managers mind on occasions (slowerthanplatt:emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) but anyone with the...

too many key players injured... too many lightweights

But we would have players from the academy to supplement the squad wouldn’t we? You know how everyone loves to see “3 or 4 of our own” amongst it too.

    Burge again!

Depends who it is. I recall lots who were out of their depth last season along with the rest of us, ultimately culminating in our relegation.

    Should Mark Robins be sacked?

A generation ago maybe. If anyone thinks we are likely to see anything like the time given to the above managers nowadays they are deluded. Bar the odd exceptions(Wenger et al) isn’t the average life 18 months?

Obviously he will say that to be diplomatic and not tread on individuals toes. I also asked him how to get rid of the cancer that runs through the corridors at the club no matter who the manager, players are or how many times we change the kit. Again, skirted around the issue, “we have to...
