    Andy thorn has been sacked

Every managerial vacancy sees plenty of applicants, no matter how unfashionable the team.

    Andy thorn has been sacked

I guess we're looking at Shaw/Carsley/both in charge now.

How was Thorn at fault today?

It doesn't necessarily make fans fickle. Yesterday could quite justifiably be seen as the final straw for people.

    praise for brown :0

Did you read the article you posted? He's praising Brown's hard work, not his performance.

    Bury Matchday Thread

On a Coventry City forum the posts are all about Coventry City? Yes, truly shocking.

So, about this 'heard it here first' talk...

    Roll Call

People really need to stop bracketing people as either pro or anti-Thorn as if there's no going between the two. If someone thinks Thorn isn't the man for the job they wouldn't be hypocrites by thinking all was well at half-time, much like if someone rates Thorn they're well within their rights...

How was Thorn at fault today?

But what about the sheer panic that followed their first, where we seemed to be unable to retain possession? Shouldn't a manager be able to influence that?

How was Thorn at fault today?

Today wasn't bad luck. We completely panicked and forgot how to play football after their goal.

How was Thorn at fault today?

Every football match is eventually decided by the 22 men on the pitch. If Thorn can't be blamed, at what point is he culpable?

    Malaga

I wonder if Brown's deal was based on him playing a lot? I'd have him on the bench once Clarke, Christie and gang are good to go.

Today felt like a defeat, for sure.

    Malaga

    He's incredibly dishy.

    Baker

He should have at least troubled the keeper in the second half when he was found on the edge of the area in space, he seemed to almost fall backwards as he shot wide. I'm amazed we didn't lose today, to be honest.

    Baker

Bit early to make that call on the Frenchmen isn't it? Particularly when one of them is yet to play.

    Baker

I remember him getting ironically cheered off the pitch last season and producing probably his best display when he returned to the side. Maybe he's one of those spurred on by criticism.

    Stuart Linnell

Isn't the BBC impartiality thing more of a philosophy they try to apply with news reporting rather than in everything they do? It'd be impossible to practice otherwise. Five Live alone would have been pulled off the air years ago.
