Looks like it, Slade saying that's the last defender coming in.

The only thing the council own is the freehold so if the potential buyer was talking to the council and the response came back that they were asking too much then it must be the freehold.

    Simon Gilbert's Book

There's certainly a story to be told but its not going to be found in the CT archives. To be honest I've not bothered with the book after a couple of quotes were used on here as evidence in arguments and shown to be wildly factually incorrect.

The CT really should pay towards the running costs of this site as it seems to be their main source of news.

No, I think we should write him off now and all boo him if he's playing at the weekend.

In my opinion but I'm not running Red Bull. They may have a requirement to own the freehold. They may have looked into the history and decided they don't want the council involved. From Malaka's sources they required the freehold, spoke to the council and the price was too high. That's all the...

    The Butts

In normal conversation if you weren't going to deal with the football club you'd say Coventry City or Sky Blues or even the football club. You wouldn't say SISU. Sharp isn't an idiot who is getting them mixed up, if he's said SISU he means SISU.

Think you've answered your own question there. If Red Bull were considering buying ACL, Wasps and CRFC there's a good chance they would want the freehold. The freehold, according to the councils own documents, is pretty much worthless until the end of the lease is approaching. So based on what...

Is Chris Anderson having a laugh?

It does all seem to tie in. There was surprise when he first turned up as people couldn't work out why he would be here working for SISU. The worry is you can assume that, prior to coming in, he had a vague idea of the financial situation and what it would take to achieve a takeover from SISU...

    The Butts

I would guess the question was asked during his interview with the CT. You can read what you want into the fact the answer isn't contained in the article.

And the forum is ahead of the CT again who haven't had a response from Red Bull.

    Torch's Counselling Thread

Keep at it torch. If it gets really bad we'll see if we can get the players to make a hospital visit!

Is Chris Anderson having a laugh?

It would be foolish of anyone to read too much into that. Pretty standard stuff. You don't let people that have had access to that level of information leave and have a chat with the local paper the next day.

Is Chris Anderson having a laugh?

Sounds like it. Obviously didn't like what he saw which will come as a surprise to no one on here. Not sure we can use his time here as any measure of how successful he could be if he was free to make the big decisions.

Interesting isn't it. We have people saying liquidate and start again who believe that to be the same club. Then you have people who say its not the same club if someone comes in and changes the kit.

When has anyone said that? I have no problem with any owner of CCFC making money if we are successful on the pitch.
