A genuine plea to the board at CCFC

Don't worry, Onye said that in the coming weeks we'd hear of the big masterplan as part of their new transparency. That was only a few weeks back... wait, September 1st? Dammit Igwe, you went so transparent we can't even see you any more.

What are WE going to do about it?

Effective or even notable protest needs organisation, motivation and most importantly a cause. At the moment it's a few sparse bursts of 'we want SISU out' but only if we're losing, which only comes across as a reaction to bad football rather than what goes on behind the scenes. It needs more...

    Westwood

Good luck to him I say. We signed him on a three-year contract, he gave us three good years and then moved onwards and upwards.

Has anyone took on the task of managing CCFC on FM2012?

I finished 10th in my first season, was on course for automatic/playoffs before dropping to 11th in the second season, then didn't win a single game and got sacked in October third season. Starting well and falling drastically - Coventry City should register that as a trademark.

CCFC's woes from a Saints Fan's perspective and a message of support

I've never heard the canal walk be described as pretty before.

CCFC's woes from a Saints Fan's perspective and a message of support

I was looking at Saintsweb and a few of them aren't enamoured with us/the ground/city/etc. One post slagged off one on here where someone claims that Southampton are only doing well because of admin and then money, and not because they kept up great support throughout. I felt myself on their...

    Why no minutes silence?

Don't worry about me, I'll be marking the occasion without worrying over what others do.

    Why no minutes silence?

I get all that, but a lot of the overdone reaction to it seems to be less about the occasion which is what I have an issue with. I suspect people are latching onto what should be a dignified occasion for a rant.

    Why no minutes silence?

As mentioned, they had the poppy on the pitch before the game, and they may do something around the actual time. There wasn't a silence, that's all. It's surprising, but not cause to froth at the mouth and cry blue murder, unless you really want to.

    Why no minutes silence?

That's fine, but don't make out it's some kind of appalling disgrace if Remembrance Day isn't marked on the 6th before a league game against Southampton.

    Why no minutes silence?

What does the last game beforehand have to do with it? It's almost a week away, if you're looking to a frivolous sporting occasion for your show of respect you're in trouble.

    Why no minutes silence?

Since when did Remembrance Day become Remembrance Month? It's a dignified occasion that doesn't need every football match leading up to it to mark it, and certainly doesn't need to be used as a crutch to beat the club with. Look at the story about the England game; what's actually a general...

On the subject of embarresing songs....

'Who are ya?' is the pits. When you come from behind to equalise against a better team, you don't sing that with 20 mins still to go.

    Cov Telegraph Censorship?

There were one or two posts on here accusing them of being crooks yesterday that I thought were on slightly dodgy ground too.

    A worry if true

Although I'm not questioning the trustiness of your friend, everyone has reason to lie. Mainly due to how fun it can be, but that's just me.

    Record Under Thorn

I like Thorn, but even fighting against the financial side he can't be entirely blameless forever. This is still a team he's guided into winning positions which have been needlessly thrown away, so I don't buy the argument that no manager could do better. Is it possible that a man not properly...

Once Again, the Inevitable Football League Show Thread...

Roland Nilsson should have stopped Fox getting that cross in.

    Clingan

That was definitely Willis wasn't it? I keep making jokes about how tanned Thomas is, but the Beeb have taken it a bit literally there.
