Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

The value of Ryton is one sticking point. Ryton as a training ground is worth a lot less than Ryton as land for housing. A quick google throws up that land for housing in England averages £6m a hectare. Its got to be at least a couple of hectares so that would be £12m on its own. Add in the...

    Butts Park Arena

Just a thought on Butts Park. We're told by many its a non starter as it couldn't cope with more people than attend CRFC and the old folks will object to the noise. So what happens when UB40 play there in a few weeks. Would imagine they are expecting a crowd as big as, if not larger, than we...

So you want to buy CCFC......

Sure they could argue a case for that. If they were to win then it wouldn't be a huge stretch to suggest we wouldn't have been relegated, certainly not twice, and the club wouldn't have been devalued if those actions hadn't taken place. Would be near impossible to prove 100% one way or the...

So you want to buy CCFC......

Anyone can bring, or attempt to bring a JR, you don't have to be directly involved. The bigger issue is should the JR rule against CCC there is likely to be another case regarding compensation due, if SISU no longer own the club would they be entitled to the compensation?

Got a chap a few rows back that constantly shouts forward, never anything else. And his mate who is silent when it is going well but the second there's a pass that's not pin point perfect he's ranting and screaming his head off.

Would you have sacrificed cup final for L1 survival ?

Under normal circumstances it would always be L1 but the tricky part here is would it have just been putting off relegation by 12 months. There's little to suggest there would have been a sudden turnaround.

West Ham and Newcastle raided by HMRC

How do payments to players have nothing to do with football? Not like West Ham don't have form as well with the Tevez thing.

Great win the other night and a first international goal for Liam, his Dad seemed pleased. Lithuania at 7:30pm. Will be tough one, they're unbeaten and haven't conceded a goal. No (legal) free video stream this time but its live on Premier Sports and there's commentary on the BBC Sport site.

    Joey Barton

Can't stand the bloke but it does seem harsh and he's got a point with a couple of things he says in his statement: I think if the FA is truly serious about tackling the culture of gambling in football, it needs to look at its own dependence on the gambling companies, their role in football and...

CCFC worth - by lecturer in football finance Liverpool

Is it reasonable then to say we're looking at someone needing to offer in the region of £10m up front for SISU to walk away and no debt be left behind and no future payments owed to them?

West Ham and Newcastle raided by HMRC

Points deduction has to be on the cards if found guilty. If they dish them out for other financial issues why would this be different. The language being used by HMRC is fraud so its not going to be someone making a mistake or forgetting to make a payment.
