    Southampton v Coventry FA Disciplinary

I love how the Southampton players' version of events have them all politely disagreeing with their aggressors while respecting their right to dispute. One almost referred to an opponent as a silly billy but thought better of it for fear of having to pay into the swear jar and pray with rosary beads

    9 Years Ago Today...

I missed that game, booked a weekend in Rome a few months before because it's Cov and everything goes wrong so no chance are we making the playoffs. There on a Colosseum tour getting the goal updates.

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Tuesday 20th Jan

I like to have a look at opposition viewpoints for games and every time we win there's someone talking about how we celebrate as if it's a cup final blah blah. Fuck me, if you can't enjoy a win what's the point in going?

    Recommend a book

I'm making a conscious effort to read more this year and so far so good (although maybe not in terms of variety, another crime book finished and I've started another since) King of Ashes by SA Cosby, a successful finance wiz returns to his home town when his father has a car accident only to...

Not heard of it before but a brief glimpse suggests it's right up my street so I'll have a look for that one, cheers

That Sunny chap must be at least 20 years too old to be poncing about like he does.

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

Credit to him for bagging the peace prize double at the first time of asking. The Preston North End of global affairs.

    NBA

I've been the once, by coincidence it was also to see Orlando Magic lose but in their old home arena that's since been knocked down. I've always enjoyed basketball but casually enough to the point where I feel like you could just skip to the last five minutes of a lot of games and not miss much.

    One player per nation XI

I'm not sure what nationality Hamer officially is but I'm going by the song as gospel Westwood (Ire) Philips (Wal) Konjic (Bos) Ostigard (Nor) Van Ewijk (Ned) Hadji (Mor) McAllister (Sco) Hamer (Bra) Ndlovu (Zim) Regis (Eng) Gyokeres (Swe)

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

Seen a lot of the classic 'enjoy your cup final' in the hours since, wonder if that's ever actually bothered anyone.

Denmark could sidestep the Greenland thing by just giving him a novelty deed certificate with his face on it.

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

I'd like some kind of sabotage element to it, like the traitors having their own sneaky sidepot where the lost winnings from tasks go instead

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

I suspect Harriet's exit was a bit of that, going from silent assassin to mad fucker in the space of a single episode can't have hurt searches and sales.

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

It's a rare 'event' entertainment show, one with more strategy and psychology to it than most. Declaring something symptomatic of society dumbing down without ever seeing it is a bit odd

Gus offered for £6 million ?

Credit to any player who absolutely lets themselves go when they no longer have to count ever grain of rice they eat. Andy Reid was always a stocky lad so I thought he'd balloon but he's kept himself quite trim

Gus offered for £6 million ?

I'm not sure we're interested unless Doug also holds a stake in Samoan Joes, but he's a fine player who managed the impressive feat of sometimes looking pretty good in a Sheffield United team that stunk up the top division so I wouldn't worry about how he'd fit into any future plans in that...
