    Match Thread Middlesbrough

Not much for him at the moment, everyone else is so deep he's either got to try and hold on to it for a ridiculous amount of time while players get up to support him or go for some amazing solo effort. Both seem pretty unlikely. The difficulty is getting players up to support him, or even...

    Match Thread Middlesbrough

Suspect Robins will view that as job done in the first half. Be interesting to see if he sticks with what we're doing and tries to grind out a 0-0 or will he be tempted to bring a couple of Kelly, O'Hare and Walker on and try and get us moving forward a bit more.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Problem is even if we change it now it takes at least 2 weeks for any impact to be seen and probably longer for hospital admissions and deaths to show the impact. Been left way too late again and even now we're trying tactics the governments own experts are openly saying won't work.

    Match Thread Middlesbrough

Wasn't expecting that line up but I presume its more a case of Kelly not being up to playing Saturday - Tuesday - Friday than being dropped.

I would guess that always acting days or weeks after the other home nations has an impact. The SAGE experts said weeks ago we needed a two week 'circuit breaker' and were ignored. They warned that if it was left to tie in with half term as some suggested it would be too late. Once again we...

    Fresh Ricoh talks

We all know we don't need to own a stadium, its about revenue access. No reason we can't access revenues without building or owning a stadium but of course that is reliant on who we are dealing with. At the moment the only option would be the Ricoh and while Wasps maintain their current stance...

Same way it always has been. Pre-covid I could have worked 100% of the time from home but was required to go into the office every day. I've only been back at work since yesterday but have been surprised at how many of our clients I'm talking to are back in the office when there's no real need...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The advise is work from home if you can but its not compulsory so its down to each company to decide. For example everyone where I work can work from home but our office is open and people are going in, at the moment its voluntary but I don't think that's the case everywhere. The Health and...

    Fresh Ricoh talks

As the uni have said the exact site can't be confirmed until they know the final plans for the link road not sure why anyone would be expecting anything to happen before that. Was supposed to be imminent but seems to have ground to a halt, presumably thanks to covid. If you believe a new...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

You could maybe excuse one or two dodgy contracts back at the start of this when there was a mad scramble to get PPE in place, although even that is down to the government ignoring the recommendations in its own report. But the fact that its still happening so often months later suggests to me...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I've been very sceptical of a 'silver bullet' coming along to save us but the number of people who all now seem to be saying basically the same thing makes me hopeful. Without going all Big Pharma conspiracy theory how much effort is actually put into curing the common cold? In healthcare...

Its pretty much only hospitality, theatres and similar that aren't at work isn't it? The BMJ reported the roll out will take 6 - 9 months and will be done in a specific priority. Best case scenario is the current tests give the result we want and you're looking at approval in late Nov or early...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Its not been confirmed, and I'm sure it won't be until its passed every stage and been approved, but it has been noticeable how over the last couple of weeks multiple experts have changed from expressing caution and saying it could be months before we get a vaccine to talking about starting a...

    W**ps confirm premiership final

Have they agreed a new TV deal yet? Last thing I read was nobody was interested so they were thinking of starting their own channel. Can't see that being anything but an expense. They'd have to come up with content to cover 7 days a week, even if it wasn't 24 hours a day and was full of repeats...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

This jumped out of the article for me. We haven't been doing test on people without symptoms for months have we? Worrying that they are highlighting that as a cause of staff shortages in many areas with those that may not be infected having to quarantine. Our testing system is struggling to...

    Experience needed?

Your making the assumption that they've had no offers from elsewhere. Could well be they've had offers with big wages from places like China or the US and are just taking their time deciding what to do. Even if they haven't they might be doing media work which is more attractive to them than a...

If you're referring to Warwick Uni As far as I'm aware the next step was confirmation of the exact site and then a public consultation which the uni said at the time it was all announced would be before the end of the year. However they also said the exact site was dependent on the final...
