Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Was reading earlier that there's a set of films which are massive in Scandinavia. The interesting bit was after making 4 of the biggest films going in that part of the world they sacked everyone off and recast the entire thing as the author didn't think they were close enough to the books!

    Clive Eakin on CWR

This would be a huge mistake, the demographic of people who listen to CWR for match day commentary I would imagine skews older. If they go after a young audience they'll just loose listeners. Didn't we have a season where the commentary was on a commercial channel as well and nobody liked that...

Trump is my favourite comedian of the year already

There's been threads on here in the past about the authorities in this country where posters have said if anyone in a position of power came for their family they would kick off with all the force possible yet when it happens in other communities the finger is pointed at people for pushing back.

Great recommendation, would have skipped this as police dramas aren’t really my thing bit halfway through this and it’s great. Making being off work sick slightly more bearable! Does seem a very 9pm BBC1 show rather than Netflix though

Best TV shows or movies you can recommend

Stick on Apple TV is an easy watch. Only 3 episodes in but liking it. Think it’s one of those shows that could do badly wrong with a different cast but there’s some top names in this. Particularly enjoying the Owen Wilson & Marc Merron double act.

    cricket 2025

Great day for the Bears. Women's win puts them top and the mens side with a big win against Yorkshire even if they did make hard work of it trying to smash every ball out the ground when they only needed just over a run a ball. Was talking earlier in the thread about ticket prices and it's...

phone the card company again they need to give you more info. if they can't see any sign of an attempt to make payment its a ticketmaster problem and frankly you've got fuck all chance of them sorting a problem like that, you'd be better off speaking to the ticket office who might be able to...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Could be interesting if Polanski wins their leadership contest. In the past you'd have said having a non-MP leader could be an issue but it never hurt Farage. There's a large chunk of people on the left who feel politically homeless, if someone could galvanise them the way Farage can the right...

Except he wasn't. He never went away. Literally the morning after the Brexit result he was on TV moaning about it and setting up his next 'the wrong brexit' grift. The fact is you could put a dome over the UK and not let a single person in and, as it wouldn't solve all the countries problems...

    The VLR

Guess you can use the why not a bus for any tram system. If we ever get the full thing assume they will be dedicated tram lanes. The argument is they will have much greater frequency than you will get with a bus. Its designed to be a 'turn up and go' service where you don't need to check a time...

    The VLR

The theory is that in cities the size of Coventry there isn't the room for full sized trams and this is an alternative. The other big selling point is that because of the weight you can basically install the tracks into existing roads without having to re-route utilities thus saving a huge...
