Match Thread Sutton Match Thread 8th July

I saw O'Brien play in several League 2 games a couple of seasons back He's strong I'm the air and has a huge kick as well as a powerful throw He's not the greatest athlete or best shot stopper though and isn't the quickest getting back up to block rebounds Our keepers were weak in the air last...

    Harries not in MR's plans?

The lad signed a 4 year deal last season so showed his commitment. Let's be honest if he's been told by MR that he's not in his plans what is the boy supposed to do?

Kwame is almost certainly injured He was developing well and I believe Robins rates him

    Leading Goalscorer next season

Kwame is unlikely to stay fit I think some of our young lads will step up and score a lot more goals now they have a team of experienced guys in their prime around them We created lots of chances last year but seemed to need 9 or 10 for each goal

    Fan Q&A

It could be that a deal would be for an amount payable now (or possibly in instalments) plus additional amounts in the event of promotion from League 2, then League 1 then a much larger amount if promoted to the Premier League within say 10 years Leaving MR with a squad capable of the first...

    Fan Q&A

One way of looking at the backing MR has been given by the owners is maybe they are fattening it up ahead of a sale The silence from the consortium and Fisher lately might be another sign that something is afoot Maybe just wishful thinking though

I don't think the poor kid has ever really shaken off his original injury Hope he has a change of luck soon

    Court hearing

Or maybe there are talks going on with the consortium where both sides have signed an agreement for no comments to the media?

    George Thomas

Can't help thinking he'd have signed by now if he was staying

    Don't be surprised if...

Actually 3 or 4 of our other young players will probably bring in more money if sold George Thomas is out of contract so a fee will be payable based on the EFL formula for young players But several others signed up to 4 year deals under Mark Venus

    New striker

I'd heard it was £10k per week at Newcastle Still insane but maybe more realistic than £1.5m a year The Premier League is like Alice in Wonderland but even so Newcastle probably didn't have to fight off other bidders when they signed Bigi as a teenager

    New contract - Ryan Haynes

Interest doesn't always turn into an offer

    New contract - Ryan Haynes

I think he was one of the guys with a relegation clause in his contract MR could agree a new deal if he wants the lad to stay

    New contract - Ryan Haynes

I suspect both Willis and Haynes will stay

    Dave Boddy - New CEO

Hmmm, could this mean that the owners are in advanced talks with the consortium or another potential buyer? It's gone very quiet on that subject after a constant flurry of media talk from the consortium up to around 3 or 4 weeks ago

Pre Season Gallery / Greg Moorhouse on Trial

Hyam actually had a decent spell on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge in L2 a couple of years back and looked good until he picked up a fairly serious injury He was quite young then but didn't get bullied and looked like he could be a player Will be interesting to see how they both do in pre...

Pre Season Gallery / Greg Moorhouse on Trial

Let's be realistic very few of these guys who come on two weeks trial are kept on They have to be head and shoulders above our contracted players in the same position to get a chance I doubt MR will waste any of his budget unless he's absolutely sure the guy will make a difference

    Squad as it stands

I seem to remember us winning a cup for the first time in 30 years There were some good players in the squad last year but very few leaders

Ryan Haynes and George Thomas to Blackburn

And Cian Harries I believe. They both did well playing for Wales team recently so guess Swansea are acting on that form
