To be honest the OP is spot on for this season, other managers in the league with similar or even worse budgets seem to be managing ok. We need more than just wingers too.

And this is one of the reasons that people wanting to keep Preesley baffles me. He has had 4 transfer windows and not even come close to signing one, or an attacking midfielder who can score, or a winger who can create goals.

If Clarke would have stayed then would have been 5 with another 2 players (i think) on 19. That becomes nearly 1 in 3 last season on or around the magical 20 mark so a bit more than 'not many'. Point is they are out there, just that Pressley cannot see them.

I don't know about the two you mentioned but they seem to get plenty of mentions from lots of other posters on here to keep their name in the 'spotlight'.

Problem is if Pressley decides on a penalty taker, he then won't play for 8 games, get told he is then in the 'bomb' squad only to get picked because of injuries after being told he can leave, score twice and then get told he is the best finisher Pressley has ever seen and the club will try...

With Waggot saying at the end of January "do you think anybody noticed"...............

Eoin Doyle and Andy Williams look set to break 20 goals this season in L1 with another 4 players on 12/13 so may do. Last season 4 players in the league broke 20 goals in a season so not as hard as you might think. Would just take a good manager/scout to find them because they are out there.

Don't know about Waggot but Pressley interview early December said that they would be signing 4-5 in January which would obviously mean that he had spoke to the board (including Waggot) but the flip side being that some would be going too.

I am really interested in hearing why you think he shouldn't be sacked. What things has he done that have had a positive effect on the team and the club? The usual line is people like him but as that is not a valid one or the other is that we shouldn't keep sacking our managers but one thing...

In answer to the OP's question, no shit Sherlock! I wish they'd just stop talking about it because it doesn't even anger me anymore when they talk about it, I almost feel sorry for them to have to keep peddling this crap.

We lost to Sutton in 89, wasn't it Watford at home that beat us in 88? Losing to Yeovil today would certainly not feel like Sutton, They've just come down from the championship and i'm not saying they are a bigger club but I don't feel like we are massive to them in comparison.

I always hope we win, the problem is with Pressley in charge I always think we'll lose.
