My only tip for those wishing to avoid this is try to choose seats furthest away from the opposition fans. The empty heads normally want to ignore the match and hurl abuse at the opposition fans so if you avoid that area it’s normally a good start.

In my experience the issue Is not caused by the odd guy trying to sit with a mate or get a relative by him it’s caused n a group of guys pissed or on the marching powder arriving at the last minute and with total disregard for anyone else

I go to about 10 a season. Normally me and a mate or my sons. We buy linked seats in one transaction. It’s not difficult.

I don’t really have an issue with a kid trying it on but once the seat holder has made it clear they want the seat they have bought then that should be it. last night a lady behind me had to argue with 2 grown men to be able to sit in her season ticket seat … that isn’t right.

Fans thinking they can sit where they want at matches regardless of the seat they have bought. If there is somewhere at a home match you want to sit buy a season ticket there, if it’s an away Match buy the seat that you want. You don’t get on a plane and sit where you fancy or go to a gig and...
