We need to play Palmer - the whole former club snubbed me point to prove thing.

I know it’s been done to death but surely any investor (either SISU or an outsider) would be waiting to see what happens with Wasps, the lease and the Council before deciding whether to invest in the squad or sell. The CCFC position is stronger than when they tried to play hard ball with the...

Having looked at that frame by frame, it looks like the defender grabbed at the thigh and then went to ground. I guess VAR would have said free kick just on edge of box and yellow card to defender.

    Tommy Hutchison Book

Apparently there’s a new book about Tommy Hutchison due to come out. Unfortunately before my time but given that he’s widely accepted to be our greatest ever player…...

I know I’ll get shouted down but this team so misses a Doyle it’s untrue. We did well 18 months ago when Matty James took that kind of role, Kelly nearly did it but is injured to pension now. I hate the idea of signing 30+ year olds, but we most certainly need a grown up in the centre right now.

Yep I’m still peddling nonsense that stats don’t tell the full story. Nor do highlight reels. Player transfers are huge investments and I think deserve more due diligence. Even if it means giving the full match videos for the entire season to a couple of club connected scouts, trainers or...

I think one of the mistakes that not only forum posters make but also club recruitment staff is to rely so heavily on stats. Sheaf stats don’t take into account, for example, timing of pass (would a quicker release even if riskier created a better opportunity? ) pass selection (see Waghorn...

Don’t know what’s happened to Dabo, up until a few months ago was one of our best players.

Wilson 7 He’s a bit maverick for my liking. Great saves but does he inspire confidence throughout the team? Could easily have got a red Eccles 5 Others will have their opinion - looked a bit out of his depth. Out of position a few times. Inexperience showed. Doyle 7 Did well. Others had...

Maybe why MR didn’t start him. You just know PNE’s tactic would be to peck his head.

Think Bidwell has been as good as I’ve seen him since he’s been here. Sheaf is Sheaf. 5 decent things then 2 poor things. Doyle looks fairly good. Waghorn hasn’t let his head drop as he often did.

Dabo for Eccles - he looks like he’s out of his depth tonight. Lightweight too. Hamer for Allen.

    O'Hare bids

They should have signed Ryan Hedges. Their midfield would be smoking.

I thought he was solid and brought the ball out and linked up well.

Moore 5 Flapped and cost a goal. Couple of bread and butter saves that any Championship keeper should make but other than that he hasn’t done himself any favours. Eccles 6 Grew into the game and some decent play just before he came off. We need a fit a Dabo or a loanee swap for Kane or...
