The Xmas period may be tough with squad sickness. I'd be surprised if players return earlier than 2 weeks once they get this nasty flu strain. I think the rule for postponing due to sickness is less than 14 players fit including 1 keeper. As signed off by doctors. Guess we're not that far off...

Rudoni and Wright are back. Over complicate things. We played a simple attacking system before quickly through to EMC and Tats. That worked well against a lot of average championship teams.

The problem is we looked shaky and leaked silly goals before this season when we've gone gung ho to attack. There's problems in this defensive line. Id say it's improved especially with Rushworth but it's still is a concern and might well cost us.

Wright had the big negative moments around him but he was relatively sharp after a long absence. Saka was quiet. Rudoni has me worried whether he slows up the high tempo game we've been playing without him. Most the rest were decent. We have very much been a high tempo, high confidence team...

We needed a professional calmness to see that game out. Led by Grimes. Instead we got the usual defensive disorganisation and cock up. Stop crosses and FFS get our strikers out the way in the 6 yard box and let defenders deal with it.

Wright did generally ok for his return. He just seems a liability at key moments at both ends.

He's talking about gifting sloppy goals which we had a habit of for 2 or 3 seasons. It catches up with you in the end. Although Rushy has helped mask some of that with some great recovery saves.
