Cant disagree with most of that SBD. As I said earlier a lot of businesses will already be looking to change their working practices but as I also said it can’t happen overnight without it negatively impacting hundreds of thousands or more. There will definitely be loads of office conversions...

Haha, sorry NW. I was just trying to bring some perspective for a majority of people of a working age

It’s up to your employer, if that’s the government then it’s their business. If they’re not then it’s nothing to do with them

I think loads of businesses will be having a massive rethink SBD and there will definitely be far more WFH in future if productivity has remaining the same or higher, due to the massive cost savings and also giving their employees a better work/life balance You cannot change the whole...

Nothing to do with following anyone’s line Fernando. Unfortunately, that’s the stock response to anyone who doesn’t agree with peoples arguments on here. I’m not saying everyone needs to go back into work, in actual fact I think one of the few benefits of this whole shitstorm will be more...

Fascinating really. Some who totally rehabilitate and learn, others who just wont. Seeing what happened to Isiah Wright, who scored probably the best touchdown I’ve ever seen, is such a shame but he just never listened

hence the numbers quoted. Look at the high streets, we’re taking about hundreds of thousands of jobs/livelihoods (directly/indirectly attached to retail, leisure and hospitality) that are currently at risk. There is a need and the risk is currently minimal. if there’s a spike then of course...

Not really Pete, we need to try to get back to some kind of normality so why shouldn’t they go back to their offices ? It’s been ok for supermarket workers, NHS workers etc etc to work through the peak and be around vast numbers of people who might have covid but not ok for people to go back to...

    League One Playoffs

Come on wycombe !!! (two of my best mates are wycombe fans). Would be a miracle getting them promoted to the championship on their budget and after nearly going out of the football league only a few seasons back. Grimmers been quality to be fair (not really played for 9 months !). Jacobsons...

For those that like him (and/or not easily offended), you might want to catch Jim Jefferies new stand up on Netflix (Intolerant). He talks all about this stuff

Agree when people can’t afford the basics Shmmeee but I’ve known and seen plenty of people on great salaries racking up personal debt, living well beyond their means, it happens.

Possibly a little unfair Fernando. I’m guessing it’s partly trying to encourage those wavering about whether to stop in or go out (many are just in a stay in and get a deliveroo/take away routine now) to take the plunge and also encouraging people to go on nights they wouldn’t ordinarily (I...

Poor business models, opening way too many restaurants (wasting a load on capex in leasehold premises ! - see Jamies Italian !) in poor locations, next to direct competitors. A mixture of greed and stupidity

    Pubs

Bars in and around Birmingham were quieter, majority of people respectful of distancing/measures, table service in two of the three places we went to. A few younger idiots, one group got asked to leave a bar we were in but if our experience is reflected across country I’d hope there wouldn’t be...

    WOKE Utopia

Unfortunately we appear to be breeding a country of bigots which is totally unhealthy. Have debate, have disagreements but listen to people’s views (with some exceptions ie when deeply intentionally offensive etc) and form your own judgement and respect that others will form theirs.
