    Uber for Matt?

So the consensus would be that so far, he’s played his better football at LW or ST? I don’t think MR would agree with that as things stand today. The difference is Tuesday’s goal v Wednesday and he’s played upfront about 3-5 times more than LW. So if we wanted to go into the granular detail...

So if Wright struggled in his favoured position but prospered out wide, what does that tell you about our tactics?

Football set to introduce blue cards as major change to the game is signed off

The way players speak to refs sometimes is a blight on the sport. I don’t see blue cards being a problem at all. Don’t speak to the ref like he’s scum and you won’t get punished.

    Transfer Rumour Haji Wright

Spot on. Both players have had confidence issues, particularly Simms. If we get them involved in dangerous areas I am convinced we have two players who will smash it in this league.

Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Sunday 11th Feb

Thomas comes back in for sure and if possible, I’d look to rest MVE (and Saka) at some point.

Yes, you are right! That was an oversight on my part!

The players who played well on Tuesday deserve the starting berth. Bidwell needs a rest imo so makes sense to start JDS after a good performance on Tues. Collins MVE Thomas Binks - edited as Kitching is banned JDS Eccles Torp Sakamoto COH Palmer Wright

£4m for a top end L1 player has being the going rate for a while. Peterborough sold Connor Washington for c. £4m years ago. Even we sold Wilson, McCallum and Maddison for in and around £3m.

    Contracts 2025/26

There’s only 3 first team regulars there and I doubt that Godden will stay beyond this season. He will want to play regular first team football at this stage of his career.

    Callum contract offer

He’s played on the wing 31 times out of 37 games this season. It seems a few have latched into an interview where he says he wants to be the complete forward and play wherever the manager wants him to. Something to that effect. Demonstrates a great attitude but looking at the way he plays, he...

    Uber for Matt?

Calling Palmer a ‘nearly man’ isn’t the insult you seem to think it is. He is getting into good positions but with the final ball has been lacking at times. At least compared to his competition. There have been a few games, where I felt Palmer was more involved than COH. The best example to my...

With respect, how much football do you watch outside the Prem and CCFC? I hadn’t heard of him and that’s because my answer to the above question is no. I did recognise the highlights from the Barnet v Sheffield U years ago when he won a penalty against them.

    Uber for Matt?

I enjoy watching Palmer play and hoping he really kicks on. But, his output in terms of goal involvements hasn’t been where it needs to be to warrant a starting berth for most of this season. Taking Norwich as an example, he missed that clear cut chance and there were a few times he’d evade 2-3...

    Uber for Matt?

So we just give up on these players? The ethos of this club is to develop players and I’m confident we’ll get with Wright and Simms. Players like Chaplin/JCH were arguably let go too early and ended up progressing nicely. Simms just hasn’t become a bad player overnight. Watching his...

EMC was signed as a winger, not as a 10.

    Uber for Matt?

It’s one game, let’s see if we can keep that up. Same attacking unit against Millwall on Sunday imo. One thing I did note is that with Wright up front, we were more willing to play the ball behind Wednesday’s defensive line. The cross for his goal was a peach and there’s not been too much of...

The podcast is good too. The start of it goes into detail around the deal too. It does seem like we’ve negotiated a decent deal for the player. I’m hoping that ‘option’ is written down on paper somewhere!

    The queues

You can still keep the paper tickets, but for a lot of events now there’s a button to add the ticket to android/apple wallet. In my experience, it’s very handy and easy to send people their tickets via iMessage/WhatsApp. Therefore, it’s clear that the issues are structural because it doesn’t...

    The queues

Tuesday and Wednesday are my office days (mandatory) and the drive is just shy of 2 hours so I can’t really get to to stadium before 19:30. Against Wednesday I parked up at 19:40. In any case, I’ve been to events at most of the major stadiums in England and I’ve not had the same issues getting...
