Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I’m genuinely surprised that people expect Starmer and Johnson* to resign based on the polices interpretation of two potential breaches. As far as I’m aware both gatherings were with work colleagues so as I say this comes down to polices interpretation of the rules and whether they have been...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Post Brown for a bit maybe, that was post financial crisis and after three Labour election victories but I’d say almost the opposite more recently. It’s was fashionable to vote for Corbyn for a while (bizarre but true - ‘ohhh Jeremy Corbyn’ at Glasto) and definitely ‘fashionable’ to hate Tories...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think they have been sitting tight to an extent and focussed on coming across as credible and competent, but as I said the other day, this is now the time for policies and ‘what we would do differently’ The suggestion of some sort of windfall tax was a start. People can debate the pros and...

    Hamer, Ohare, Gykores…..and Sheaf ?

I was saying he’s the most valuable and therefore probably hardest to replace. If robins hadn’t played him through his injury I reckon he’d have got 20 goals this season, add that to his all round play and you just don’t get too many of those players around

    Hamer, Ohare, Gykores…..and Sheaf ?

Very good player but wouldn’t be as valuable as Gyokeres. A target man who scores, teams would be willing to pay a premium for that. We’ll soon find out though as there might be bids for all of them this summer

    Viktor off to Fulham?

Would be gutted if Vik left. He’s top of the big three to keep for me but I’m also realistic enough to realise that he’d fetch by far the biggest price, would probably quadruple his wages and will have ambitions to play in prem Just hope that if anyone goes we get top dollar and a majority is...

If he’s on his bike that will be someone else’s problem ! I’ve been really impressed with his self discipline in the last few games, unfortunately it probably makes him more attractive to potential buyers

    The Jones Enigma

I wouldn’t mind seeing us start with Vik upfront with Jones and O’Hare just behind against Stoke. Worth giving it a go

Taylor v Serrano on DAZN was an amazing fight ! Edit - smith v Vargas also lively and Stevenson v Valdez worth watching. Very early days but Yafai could be good !

    Next season starts now

The fact is we’ve got to be a bit better at both ends of the pitch. That’s why we’re currently a mid table team and not play offs. Been fun to watch though

    Next season starts now

Heard Oggy make a point when I was driving back from the match about the number of games we’ve taken the lead in, something like 15, only lost 1 and got 34 points (I think). We’ve gone behind in something like 27 games. We take the chances and that doesn’t happen I take Grendels point that...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

As I mention in the post when I said low bar I was talking only about the initial fines issued….if it’s true what I’ve read and heard I suppose I put myself in the polices position. They go to a place of work during the pandemic because someone’s called them. They enter the building during the...

    Next season starts now

I might be wrong but I guess it was a case of Wilsons hardly played all year, he came in and kept a clean sheet last week and saved a pen, so Robins has probably said to Moore we’ll give him another go today. Moore will probably be back next week but even if not I’d expect him to be No 1 next year

    Waghorn

My point is, without a time machine it’s irrelevant. I wouldn’t pay up his contract as he can still have a role to play so unless someone comes in for him he’s gonna be here next year. As long as he’s putting in the effort and not a disruptive influence he’ll get my support

    Waghorn

If he wants to play regularly and someone picks him up without us paying up all/majority of his contract then fair enough, otherwise I think he could do a job here as 3rd/4th striker, especially if he can stay fit next season Would I sign him given the chance again, with the season he’s had...

    The Jones Enigma

Agree 100%. He’s different to other players listed but should definitely be getting more minutes especially when we’re trying to break teams down.
