Makes you wonder what the fuck was happening before, was everyone sat around twiddling their thumbs?

    Things that annoy you

There's work in my road at the moment, well I say work nothing is actually happening. It seems one team come out and cone the road off, then a few days later someone comes out and digs a hole. I left for work late this morning as I had the dentist so was there to see some actual workmen turn up...

Surely even Truss isn't dumb enough to want to go to court and have to make an argument they didn't crash the economy.

    Cov city centre

Things aren't actually that far apart but the layout is shit, there's no flow. If you're at the Skydome or the Belgrade you're pretty much going there and then out of town again. You don't walk out of those places, look up and think I'll just have a wander and a look around.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The avatar is from Severance on AppleTV which, given the current topic, I would definitely recommend watching. I think one key difference is how technology has changed many jobs. When I started my job, depending on the size company I was working for, I would either spend my days physically...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Out of interest when was this? I've found working in IT this has completely changed in the last 15 or so years. Overtime / TOIL, benefits, bonuses, pay rises (unless you move job) all out of the window in that period in favour of pressuring you into being sat in front of a screen for as many...

How do you solve a problem like Ben Sheaf

That would def be my first question. Is he fully fit or playing with a knock.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I was at the extreme end of WFH in my old job. I was 100% WFH, increasingly less visits to client sites and my head office was 3 hour plus drive each way so I literally hadn't visited in years tbh if I hadn't been at that extreme I don't think I would have taken an office based job. I'm in the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

THIS!!! People are sat in this office 10 hours plus a day doing seemingly fuck all. I work my hours and I'm consistently doing 40 - 50% of the tickets out of a team of 8 but I know perfectly well if I started leaving on time every day I'd get shit for it and be seen as the lazy one.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

If you choose to make work your entire life that's your own choice. I've been there and from my experience it doesn't lead to pay rises or promotions. You're just working yourself into the ground for someone else's benefit. The problem becomes when its becomes an expected thing and people are...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I got way more done, in much less time, working from home than I do being back in the office. And I suspect that is why a lot of managers / company owners don't like it. They're more concerned with getting more hours out of you and unpaid overtime than they are on the work actually being done or...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

24 Hours In Police Custody this week focused on immigration. Watching that there's one very obvious thing that needs to happen, a clamp down on social media. They visited Albania and kids there are being targeted on social media with post after post telling them about a wonderful life in the UK...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I actually found WFH had the opposite impact for me. Don't think I'm alone in that as one of the positives people put forward for WFH is work life balance which is just a corporate speak way of saying you have time to do other stuff. WFH I finished on time more often that not and as I was...

    Rodrigo Bentancur

purely going off what's on the video he's broken his shoulder or something similar hasn't he? Similar to tats injury, land at a strange angle and you can be in all sorts of trouble. edit: the original video, not the one just posted showing him being shoved between two players which is now...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

You don't pay for prescriptions if you're unemployed so guess there's a fair case for anyone not at retirement age and in work to pay. Probably not the best time to have that discussion after the mess the winter fuel allowance has been.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

What happened to one ready to go as soon as the window opened? Was that actually an ITK or not, can't remember now.

I'll be honest. It never even crossed my mind that you'd get free prescriptions before pension age. Is there any reason the two aren't the same?
