    Ephron Mason Clark

Think he must have already been giving him classes: Ellis, remarkably, won numerous headers / flick ons through October! He was like a different player.

    Haji- new agency

Considering Vik went for £17.5m (initially), any bid of +£25m and I imagine Doug will even throw in a 50th Anniversary Shirt (#1/1975) for free. Haji is a good Championship striker, but he isn’t even close to Gyokeres’ and is wildly inconsistent.

That was class - there was another one out to EMC in the second half, which totally cut them in two, we played about 6 one-time passes in succession. By far the best passage of build up play.

There were a few first time balls that were filthy. Dare I say Hamer-esque…

One thing I noticed today is that EMC looks like he’s dropped some weight, and his fitness levels are therefore better too. When he first came, he looked heavy legged - he had great upper body strength, but struggled to beat his man for pace - the coaching team have clearly got him to a much...

Think these are spot on. Would maybe give Bobby 7.5 for his covering tackles; bailed us out a few times when they threatened to break, and it was his header that led to the goal. MVE must still be recovering from his illness. A week of rest will do them all good.

Referee was fine today. Linesman was abysmal though.

Rudoni has been abysmal. His return has changed our style of play, and not in a good way atm.

Depth of the squad is starting to be a real concern; at least Rudi is (almost) back, but definitely a worry for the busy weeks ahead.

Decent. Couple of small tweaks to help the rhythm… Last Christmas we brought in Lampard And the very next May, We nearly went all the way. This year, to save us from tears We're going to go up as Champions.

Think we’ll be unchanged; Rudoni and Asante on slightly earlier to freshen things up when needed.

    Matt Grimes

Most telling moment for me - beyond his obvious game impact - was when JDS went to take a quick throw, about 3 minutes from time, and Grimes signalled him to slow down and think… The leader that we’ve been missing since Fadz left; constantly talking and coaching others through the game.

    Rudoni Song

I wrote / posted this ages ago - probably need to replace Rapha though… Matt Grimes knocks it around; Raphael is the future, Torp…Tats…EMC. The best midfield in town. Ahhahhh… RUDI! A message to Ru-do-ni.

If you were offered second now ...

Nobody ever really remembers who wins the Championship - other than the fans of that club - it’s just a vanity claim. Give me sanity over vanity any day; promoted with a few games to go, in either first or second, with chance to start planning our transfer business as early as possible.

    Awfull tactics from lampard

This. We were totally overran in midfield. I am baffled why Frank didn’t change it at half time, or within 10 mins of the restart. It was so, so predictable, and naive and/or arrogant not to introduce Eccles and Torp earlier.

Match Thread Wrexham AFC - Coventry City Match Thread - Friday 31st Oct

Frank’s interview was odd: said he could “smell it” coming at half time, yet didn’t change anything until Wrexham had scored two and we were on the back foot? I totally get that we can’t / shouldn’t overreact, but he HAS to own that the set up, line up, and lack of changes is on him. Not some...
