    Our next major appointment

Win at all costs? Not for me thanks. I hated it when we had Marlon King at the club. I think John Terry is a nasty piece of work and I'd rather we were less good without him than better with him.

    Our next major appointment

Because he's always come across as an arehole and when there's an arsehole in the group, either as a leader or not, they cause disruption. Groups of good people are what we need. In my view anyway

    Our next major appointment

Is that because of his history as an England player perhaps? Although very few England managers have been successful England players, Southgate I guess?

    That doesn't alter my views

    Our next major appointment

One thing that seems to have worked well in recent years, certainly with the players, is they seem to have made a big effort to appoint people who are decent and non-disruptive. It seems to be a big part of the ethos to make sure that individuals are friends with each other and form a bond etc...

Match Thread Southampton - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 20th Dec

He won't drop Rudoni for Eccles, I get the feeling that, like Wright, he plays if fit regardless of form. Same side I reckon

Match Thread Coventry City - Bristol City FC Match Thread - Saturday 13th Dec

Why do you keep adding 'tards' to other words and parts of words? Makes you look horrible. Have you ever considered what it means?

Match Thread Preston North End FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Dec

I've been reading through a lot of this thread. People have the right to state their grievances of course, and it was a disappointing result and more disappointing that we couldn't finish off 10 men. I don't think it was as bad as some people are making out though. We were good in the first...

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

This feels a long build-up to this one. Maybe because it's a tense one and a week between games. I have a feeling we'll be a bit makeshift upfornt, I've noticed that when people predict injuries they are usually right. We could realistically be without Rudoni, Wright, Sakamoto and Thomas-Asante...

    The ‘wobble’ month

As for a wobble, it may well happen this month. We are a bit depleted and we have a lot of matches, but this is the same for most teams at this time of year. I think we'll dro psome points but be broadly fine

    The ‘wobble’ month

The parachute thing means nothing if they aren't winning games. Everyone has been saying for a few weeks that Ipswich are the team to watch and they'll be in the top two but it seems it was based on a short good run which has culminated in losing to Oxford. If they don't win tonight then maybe...

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

I have a feeling that all football fans feel like this to an extent. I think especially for a team who has waited so long to get back to the top tier after being there for so long before relegation. It feels impossible that it could finally happen after 25 years. I can’t help but feel nervous...

    Eccles

It's good to have at least one home-grown player in the first team. It seems that most teams who go up to the Prem have one who has been there all the way and gets some game time. If we do manage promotion I would love to see Eccles coming on in a huge game against a big club.

Match Thread Ipswich Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 6th Dec

We generally seem to score 3 goals most games. I guess they may be better at stopping us than others and with the potential attacking injuries, maybe we'll get 2. I think 2-2 is decent score prediction...

    Jamie Allen

I was thinking about Jamie Allen after he came on and did well the other day. What a great guy he is to have around. He doesn't seem to complain or get pissy when he doesn't play and seems happy to come on late in the game and always plays ok. People get annoyed because he's quite basic but he...

Match Thread Middlesbrough - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 25th Nov

It feels like a big one tonight, if we win this we will be well on our way I feel. I realise this is a silly thought in a way, because it is possible to just totally balls up and go on a terrible run. But psychologically winning away at 2nd place (again) would be huge for the confidence as well...
