Match Thread West Bromwich Albion - Coventry City Match Thread - Wednesday 11th Dec

Remember when there was talk of Luton offering £15M for him? I'd take £4M right now, not the same player since injury. We are not staying up with this defensive record. We can't expect to score at least 2 goals per game just to get 1 point per game.

    Relegation fodder

I can't buy that reason. Sunderland and Cardiff have scored from long range but did we even try to close the shot-taker down? That, and tracking opposition runners, is basic defending.

I wish I had your confidence. You'll score at least 2 goals against us, pretty much everyone else has.

Lampard: Right lads, I need you to score 3 goals per game in order to win games.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Pretty naive of King if he thought Lampard wouldn't want to bring in coaches he knows and can trust. I'd love us to bring in some unknown (to us) foreign coach. It's worked well for players like Sako and Torp, and its currently working for Sunderland - they got Regis Le Bris as Manager from FC...

Doug King playing 5-D Chess with us. We're expecting Lampard, when its gonna be Pep after losing 5 in a row.

Ruud Van Nistelrooy applies for Coventry Job

I wouldn't be opposed to this. A former elite striker working with our army of strikers? Bloody yes please! The contacts he has at Utd and in the Dutch league could be useful going forward and his name would attract talent here. He'd probably leave if we get promoted but I'll be happy to cross...

Right who's the next manager then?

No excuse for our strikers not scoring if RVN gets the job. He could give the defence some tips as well.

    Robins has to go…

I was there. The CBS do good tours, and the free coffee wasn't bad either.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Yeah I can see her going to Binley Mega Chippy getting dinner for her husband. 🤣 On Lampard, I've gone from 'no thanks' to 'hmmm'. Still gutted that we sacked Robins mind you, but what's done is done and we can only hope King gets this decision right.

Man City have lost 4 in a row. Pep will be available soon. 😉

Match Thread Sunderland - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 9th Nov

2-0 down at the league leaders and we battle back for a cracking point. This proves that the quality, fight and sprit is there, its just a shame more of it wasn't on display earlier in the season.

If any players read this forum. A message for you

And King wouldn't allow him to talk about transfers either.

    Thankyou mark , for everything

Where's the statue? He's earned it. We were getting around 8K (or lower) at the Arena when Robins joined, now its 27K and a lot of that is down to him.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Yep, stability has been a weapon for us, compared to the chaos at clubs like Watford.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

MR brought more success to the club in 7 years then I've witnessed in many decades before that. A terrible decision. Last night was disappointing but IMO he deserved more time and still had credit in the bank. Thanks for everything, Mark.
