I hope your right, I've nothing against the lad and I hope he's brilliant for us. If its 2 million when we get promoted that would be far better. (Which it may well be)

They did, but they had a Premier league income where £2million is chicken feed, to us its a Kings ransom.

They are far better off than we are, having been in the Premier league recently, and having the parachute payments, where as we were in league 2 until quite recently. £2 million to them is a lot less of a dent to their budget than it is to ours.

Ironically the 2 examples you gave were excellent for us and played their part in getting us to the playoffs, and cost us nothing other than a loan fee. I'd say that was brilliant business. I doubt if we'd of been so good defensively with Rose and Hyam in a back 3.

We'd done well enough without spending money on that level. Hamer, Sheaf, O'hare, Gyokeres etc. Don't get me wrong I'm delighted that we can spend big money (by our standards) but it's a hell of a lot for a kid who's only been tested In league 1.
