But it's only a bidding war for as long as people are willing to pay more for the product so they make money. A lot of people now feel saturated with football. If we have a season (or if you had you're way quite possibly two) finished by arbitrary desire more will question how much they really...

Because they assume those paying out wouldn't make a claim for money back due to the season not finishing. They got less than they paid for and would want some money back. They could refuse to pay out for this season's finishing places because it didn't actually finish which would be far more of...

CCFC puts players and staff on Furlough

We may well do but I assume the rules regarding stadium capacity/facilities etc would still need to be met, so we'd still have to have a deal agreed with someone that we could play in. Depends on if the stadium deal is based on a monthly fee or fixture based. Dunno if we'd have insurance to...

With Bolsonaro in charge it could be carnage. As far as I know he's still saying it doesn't exist isn't he. Although I'm not one to wish ill on people usually it would be quite fitting if he caught it. And don't expect their figures to be accurate - reckon a lot of those in the slums will not...

The only proposal I've put forward is we finish this season off, then go from there depending on the timescale decide to either play the 2020/21 season if timing allows or go forward into 2021/22 if we don't. Yep, utter lunacy. The other options being we either cancel this as if it never...

Although I have been on first gen Playstation etc round a friends house just to join in but never got into it or bothered by it. Not been on a console for well over 10 years. Never seen Star Trek or Who, but have seen Star Wars, Potter and LotR again as a social thing but not massive fans. But...

I'm talking about the power of the TV companies. I'm talking about Sky etc not putting in the same bids for TV rights they have done. If they don't and no-one else is willing to offer it what are the clubs going to do? Force them to up their bids? Not going to happen. They'd have to accept the...

If you really don't get it then maybe you ought to consider whether or not you actually understand capitalism, especially in it's purest form.

You're supposed to be the rabid marketeer. If a business or industry can no longer sustain itself then it should die and be replaced by one that can. And whose to say there aren't transfer fees attached to those clauses? Post Bosman every club should factor in they could lose a player for...

Market conditions. If the TV companies ain't willing to part with the dosh you ain't gonna be able to pay those wages. Which leaves players with the choice to either accept lower wages reflecting the change in circumstances or go into another profession that will. Given the average intelligence...

Football wouldn't cease to exist at all. It would just have to reassess it's finances and transfer spending and wage structures. Maybe kicking a bag of air around isn't worth £300k a week and a player isn't worth £100m? Plus with my analogy do you not think the company would be being paid for...

Those hospitals were always extra capacity if needed. It was a preparation that was actually correct. If the virus had been worse and hospital beds ran out and they hadn't created these emergency hospitals it'd be considered a scandal nothing was in place to increase capacity.

If you focus on the individual when things go bad you can change it and thus slightly disassociate yourself as a party from it. "We've got rid of the one that let you down. So vote for us again" Let the leader have the glory if things go well, but make sure they're the scaprgoat when things go...

When All This Is Over ?

I think short-term people will be a bit more careful but will slowly go back to old habits. Esp when renewed work pressures and the economic situation take precedence and time becomes a precious commodity. Might see a few more facemasks being worn as the norm and more homeworking but that's it...
