That was exactly my point. They were saying reading through the posts there were a lot disagreeing there would be a Tory majority. The poll shows this isn't the case.

Whose fault would that be? Labour's for winning, or the bankers for a knee-jerk reaction based on no justificable reason, only fear?

She's handily missed out that it's often a feeling of patriotism and being better than everyone else that leads to the conflicts in the first place.....

Stop being so negative - it's a potential growth market to create jobs in. Plus with all those extra fingers producitivity will rise.

So why is it so many of these young people we want to provide for can't afford houses? Why don't we consider the environment we leave for them full of poisons and toxins which will make them sick at a younger age? Because we live in a capitalist society so the way we think we can best provide...

So you're argument is that we start off full of hope for a better future then as we get older it becomes resignation. Not exactly a glowing endorsement is it.

I think Parliament should be a mix of men and women (and non-binary or whatever I'm supposed to refer them as today)

Check the opinion poll thread. 30 odd people going Tory majority, 20 odd hung, 2 Labour. On a forum that has been accused of being massively left wing bias and Labour apologists.

Think quite a few will have postal voted in case of bad weather. Older generation have also got all day to get to the polling station - younger ones have work etc to fit voting in around. With the rain and cold etc I actually think it might play into Tory hands - youngsters who don't want to go...

The same was said of Yes Minister and Spitting Image. Said there was stuff they thought about doing but deciding against because it was too far fetched then reality has thrown up far more absurd things than they had thought up.

I think the point was bring him back so he could play for US against THEM - fired up and ready to prove them wrong.

Max Biamou has he solved a problem.

Why? We've got a few systems and none of them have 'proper' wide players. If we're still not putting chances away by Jan he will be looking (once again) for a striker but think we'd need to get rid of one or two first, even for a loanee.

    London Bridge

Doesn't this prove Otis' point? Just because you deny you are something doesn't mean you're not. How many people come out after doing something incredibly brave and say "yeah, I'm a hero". Reaction by many would be 'smug twat'. A brave, heroic twat but still a twat.

Because we never had the milk/Rumbelows/Littlewoods/Carling/Coca-Cola Cup before..... Maybe it's the .com that makes it sound that bit sillier to us slightly older generation.

How is she excellent at her job if she's just broken journalistic rules (and quite probably the law) by revealing this info. Why did she tweet about the unverified reports of someone attacking Matt Hancock which were untrue? If you're a political editor these are things you ought to know not to...

Not my take. Postal votes will mainly be older generation - far more likely to be Conservative. If it's trying to influence election this would (IMO) bring out more Labour or put complacency in some conservatives.

Indeed. It could make some Labour people come out and vote and/or make some Tories complacent. It could end up being a boost for Labour on polling day for all anyone knows.
