    General Election 2019 thread

To be fair on media it has been widely reported, and although he has apologised I think it says a lot about his opinion of the average person which will shock absolutely no-one.

I think she sounds absolutely suitable for modern politics. What she isn't suitable for is governing or any kind of power. Sadly those that have the power to govern have to come from politics.

    Forced out for dating employee

I'm not saying it doesn't happen and probably more often that genuine long term relationships sadly. But like I say it shows a poor general opinion of your employees if you think all the management are trying to take advantage of their subordinates and all the subordinates are trying to sleep...

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Southampton U21 Match Thread - Tuesday 5th Nov

Looks like a formation change to a back four. Think I might have given Biamou night off to get someone else match practice for his suspension. But if MR is going to go back to 4-3-3 only having Baka fit isn't such a big issue for him. Would still expect to see Bremang get some minutes tonight...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I think she's going to be the Hillary Clinton of our election. Far too high opinion of herself and quite smug about it will cost her party votes IMO.

    Forced out for dating employee

But shouldn't there be some distinguising factors like the openness of the relationship? Someone married for years gets a promotion after many years gets screams of nepotism whereas someone secretly knobbing the boss on the side to get a quick raise are totally different. I get the protections...

    Everton spurs

But Collymore is a knob. How you can say someone reaction is over the top is beyond me. People react in different ways. Some people are quite sqeamish. Serge Aurier had to be subbed he was so upset. Peter Schmeichel was sick when he witnessed Buusty's leg.

Racism from home end on Saturday

Have they increased at a higher rate since 2016? https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/624/cpsprodpb/B084/production/_103888154_hate_crime_640_chart_v2-nc.png Look at that spike during the EU referendum campaign and just after? Completely unrelated? It settled down a bit after again before big spikes...

    General Election 2019 thread

Very unlikely she would lose, but the way it's going she's going to massively reduce the majority there. Cov South is the most affluent of the Cov wards so most likely to turn. Although I find it quite demoralising to say this I also wonder how the transition from white male long standing...

    Better Days

Is it going to become another Allen? TBH I wasn't expecting him back yet anyway, so that they're even considering him getting some U23 minutes is a pleasant surprise. I just hope they learnt from last time and aren't trying to speed it up due to the injuries we've had to Jobello, Godden and Hiwula.

Racism from home end on Saturday

But they're taking about a rise in racism. That includes incidents of it, not just crimes. It doesn't go from "I'll keep quiet" to "kick their fucking head in". There's a testing of the waters to see what they can get away with using racist language or "go home" shite first. If the incidents...

    General Election 2019 thread

It's easier to wind up people who actually take time and effort to formulate responses and try to understand the issues behind them. Someone who doesn't think for themselves and just regurgitates shite they get fed less so...........Ignorance is bliss. I'd rather be Triggered than Trigger.

Because thy can afford to because it's safe. They can get someone in they're confident will toe the line, vote along party lines etc. That's how so many of them that are largely incompetent get to such high positions - either brown-nosing or know where the bodies are buried. 'Rising star' rarely...

    General Election 2019 thread

Nope. Feet firmly on the ground awaiting manifestos to make a decision on who to vote for. Not cutting and pasting meme's and regurgitating taglines and phrases lifted direct from the right-wing press. Anyway, I'd rather my head in the clouds than in the sand.

    SBT’s general election poll

That's why I want HoL to be PV based on vote %. Still get to keep constituency MP's but you can know your vote will count so less need to think about tactical voting, plus the HoL is no longer just a massively expensive ancient body just signing things through - it could legitimately block bills...

    SBT’s general election poll

I'm amazed how many people have already decided on how they're voting when we've not had a single manifesto released.

    General Election 2019 thread

It was Ed Miliband who gave her the biggest leg up from the backbenches, so I guess she was fucking him too. Plus everyone knows she was only on QT because she gave Dimbleby a blowie and on This Week because she was getting DP'd by Neil and Portillo.

Let's try again. I didn't say he made the comment about Abbott. You said "Brought in from out of the cold?" after quoting one of my posts. I took this as you asking me why I thought she'd been brought in out of the cold, which I hadn't said. However, I had noticed a few posts earlier Grendel...
