Match Thread Coventry City - Hull City Match Thread - Saturday 14th Dec

It's easy to see what's wrong. We have played pretty well overall and been way in control. We are too powderpuff up front though and greatly miss Wright. Added to that, the crossing has been poor for the most part and we are creating chances, but most of them are half chances and not clear...

The franchise has evolved quite a bit from it's bawdy, 60's past hasn't it. Not sure this one is going to be that funny at all to be honest.

I'm thinking draw again unfortunately. Really could do with the win. I was going to go for 1-1, but as we pretty much always let in 2 goals a game, I had better go for 2-2 and use rescuing a point in the 98th minute.

No, but they might turn into the unwashables.

I am guessing you are a bloke and therefore probably only have the two pairs. That I assume, IS your pile. Therefore you just alternate between the two pairs. The City ones and the rest of the week ones.

    Frank's Favourites

Yeah, but only one of them was a keeper. The other is a giverupper.

We would have been better off with Robins

I don't think this is very healthy or helpful to be honest. Can't we just move on? He's gone and we have to get over it.

    Sheaf

Yeah, this. I am not buying that Sheaf is awful. Same with MVE. But they have gone from playing consistently well to well below average this year.

Nope, have to disagree. Been many a game in the past where he has simply looked the best player on the pitch. Not showing it now though. This isn't the Sheaf at his best

Definitely against Keane, yes. He's 53.

    Lati

Yeah, I don't get it. Why didn't Collins force him out wide, or get a tackle, or meaningful challenge in? If he had done that, then he wouldn't have had to rush back to his line to then try and save the shot.

    Players Don't Care

Have to disagree there. This is not the same Sheaf as when he was on top of his game. At times he used to look our best player, but lately, he's just a mere shadow of his former self. I have really rated him. Not rating him very highly at all at the moment though. I thought he wasn't match...

    Players Don't Care

Yeah. That was very concerning. Our heads dropped at 2 nil and at no point after that did we look like getting back into the game. Such a poor second goal to give away.

The way he's playing right now, I wouldn't be too unhappy if we sold Ben Sheaf for £3.12. It's like he's a different player.

Yeah, Saka was a bit more like his old self again, which is encouraging.

Very odd that people are blaming Collins for tonight. The keeper was the least of our problems. What the hell has happened to Sheaf? I have always rated him, but of late, he's just been a shadow of himself. And tell me I'm wrong, but aren't his shots getting increasingly higher over the bar...

Usually, I am very positive, but tonight I thought we just started to look increasingly inept as the game wore on. Found it quite depressing to be honest and the same things were happening all over again.

Yup. That could have just as easily have been Robins in charge tonight. Missed chances, poor defending.
