Do you understand what benchmarking is? You take someone else's position who has expertise and success at what you want to achieve and use it as a baseline for your own efforts, then look to improve on it.

He was going to but JRM thinks it's outrageous and appaling and we don't need help, so he's Banned Aid.

There are climatic conditions in parts of Asia that do favour things like viruses because it gives them ideal conditions to replicate. Other places like Europe have periods of cold that kill them off and keep them in check.

People would listen if certain things happen. Firstly, the messaging is clear as to what people must do. Secondly, those delivering the message set an example of following those rules and are made to pay for it if they don't.

So given they'd got previous experience with SARS etc and a system set up, why didn't we use it as a template for our own response instead of the route we took?

Ideally yes but even if he's likely to be burned out after 60-70 minutes each game for a while and Dabo has to take his place it'll still be a bit more of a rest for Dabo than he'd otherwise be getting.

At which point they'd go shit dealing with the extra amount of deliveries.

i think McCallum looks more in need of a rest than Dabo. Besides which Dacosta is now available who's a naturally right sided defender. Why put a round peg in a square hole when you've got a square peg available?

But isn't that what inexperienced players do on the whole? He maybe needs regularly game time to get that consistency as some players 'get into the groove' then struggle to return to that level for a while after time out. I'd like to see him go out on loan to somewhere for the rest of the season...

The unbeaten run - the objective view

Trouble is the one time he tried it it worked against us so his reluctance to do so was probably intensified by that. Some managers use things like that as confirmation. Like Coleman when we got a 0-0 against the lowest scorers in the league and led to us spending the next two months keeping...

The unbeaten run - the objective view

We did need to have a bit of a rethink to tighten up at the back after the start to the season, but that change also coincided with us going from playing teams expected to be challenging in this divisions to those more average. I think MR approached yesterday too negatively overall (which given...

They did. With minimal time, resources or support from the government to do so they set up online teaching. Now they want the kids in schools and teachers have to do that again but under distancing protocols etc which makes it very difficult. And that decision wasn't made because it was the...

    Match Thread Stoke City

MR could use the Wednesday defeat as a reason to shake things up a bit and I do think we've got players in need of a rest. Main one I think is McCallum but he seems to be a bit of a favourite and against a physical Stoke MR may want to keep him in, although i'd swap him for Giles. Up front is a...

Well that was a bit shit. yes we had a lot of the midfield missing but seemed MR just wanted to play it tight when it was obvious this lot are poor and were there for the taking. Said earlier I feared we'd go for the draw, concede a goal and end up losing 1-0. Also annoying Walker went off...
