While I don't disagree with you, do you only think the way Corbyn was criticised and portrayed in the media overall was similar to Johnson? IMO Corbyn had more shit thrown at him than Johnson even though Johnson's behaviour deserved it more. If the roles were reversed do you think the level of...

But I'm still not convinced he'd have done it here because of the way MR plays. Fair play to the lad. May be a purple patch or he's finding his feet but you look at him and JCH who've both moved on after looking distinctly average at best for us, as have most of the strikers we've had under MR...

Possibly because that's what he's telling them to do? Once we score we get defensive and try to hold onto the lead.

Match Thread Shrewsbury Town vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 14th Dec

That's incredibly disappointing and as much as I like MR it shows his mindset, especially away from home. After taking the lead and into the second half he was playing not to concede rather than increase the lead, and not only does it cost us a win we end up losing. Certainly not helped with...

Ponticelli - Call the poor guy back now

Another deflection from the point made. What in his actual playing time and scoring record suggests he doesn't deserve more game time? Why don't you trust our manager's belief in Biamou but not in JCH?

I just pray it's one who can stick the bloody ball in the net. We've tried quick, tricky, tall, strong. One thing we've not tried is someone who scores goals. I'm still hopeful that Godden alongside Max can fill that role.

Nah. We've heard enough about his past lies, deceit and selfishness already but it doesn't seem to matter. Should be called Teflohnson

I hope it doesn't go that way too but it almost inevitably will. Trump, referendum and now election it's done astounding well for. It's now become "if you can't beat them join them".

    General Election 2019 thread

While I agree the sentiment is a bit over the top it can be argued there is some truth in it. Labour (and others) went for the broad stroke of policies rather than one issue. They went with trying to explain why these things would be good whereas what the Tories wanted wouldn't be. Trouble...

    General Election 2019 thread

I've seen a few people saying this is the start of 20 yrs of Tories. I don't necessarily think that's the case. Most of 'the red wall' went because of Brexit, mixed in with a bit Corbyn. Those will not be on the table next time (or if they are those same constituencies will feel massively...

The issue there is that Alexander isn't a guy for details, or hard work. Maybe someone around him will be but he tends to be surrounded by people's who's main concern is money. They'll look for whatever they'll profit most from. This is not a good starting position to finding a solution.

    General Election 2019 thread

Although the decision to stand aside in Tory seats appears to be correct I did think they'd have also been better off pulling out of marginals, but in the end it didn't matter. Brexit party made no difference to the overall result. The fact that they have prevented strong Labour seats like...

It is one of those things that the likes of the privilege seem to manage - cause a huge mess and yet somehow always come out of it better than the start. Like a crap racing driver being given a head start, weaving all over the track so everyone behind them crashes and they end up winning the...
