    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Can anyone explain what happened with SARS? I remember it, but it barely touched these shores did it. That was a Coronavirus, so what happened there and how long was it before they managed to get a vaccine? There were a lot fewer deaths too. What was different?

Dustin Hoffman is two metres short if that helps in any way.

Coronavirus Isolation - TV Shows to Binge

Should have stuck with it. It was a great insight into how greed and power and money can change just an everyday nobody. The transformation of the character from a seemingly meek chemistry professor to drug baron, I found quite remarkable, yet utterly believable.

Coronavirus Isolation - TV Shows to Binge

Can understand maybe not being aware of Ozark, but Breaking Bad? It got such fantastic reviews and everyone was talking about it. I mean, even my mum had heard of it and she was 83. Weird how some things pass people by. I know a load of celeb stiff does with me. I haven't got a clue what is...

They have been, but there has been a big let up in general upon the government and on Boris, even before he got infected. Really, this should be the headline of every single paper. We have know since January this was coming. Doctors and nurses should not be dying.

I can only imagine this exact same scenario of the PPE, but with Labour in charge and Corbyn at the helm and him having Coronavirus instead of Boris. It would be 'wish him well', but an absolute shitstorm and character assassination in the papers. The shortage of PPE to our frontline workers...

Coronavirus Isolation - TV Shows to Binge

I heard and am not surprised. The guy should be in prison for his hair alone, let alone for his misdemeanors. Ummmm, that's Joe I am talking about, though that particular jumper does fit snuggly on Trump too of course.

Maybe he imagined the psychic and was in reality just talking to a mophead under the stairs.

    David Icke Again

Ah, cracked it. Apparently, while he was with the Green Party, he visited a psychic, who told him he would receive messages from the spirit world and was put on this earth for a purpose. That purpose being to make himself look a dick and totally off his rocker, obviously.

    David Icke Again

Though, to be fair, I saw him do a lecture on behalf of the Green Party in the city centre back in the 90's, when he was their spokesperson and he was very, very good and there was absolutely no hint of any bonkerness at all at the time. Coherent, engaging and impressive. Came across very...

Some decent players in there. Holmes was pretty good, Parker was very decent too and I liked Alan Green a lot. 30 goals in 98 for us.

    Grunge - A great unifier?

We will have to agree to disagree. The people who founded the movement said it came from punk. I did say I was generalising, but in those days back then I never met anyone who liked punk and heavy metal. Grunge appealed to both for an awful lot of people. I don't wish to argue with you. I...

    Grunge - A great unifier?

Well, the people who founded the movement as such, said it was punk roots with rock added. That's from the horses mouth. Very much punk influenced if you listen to the early stuff. In this documentary, the very early bands of this scene were very punky. I know quite a lot of people in bands...

Oops. Predictive text. Rap of course. Tap music is bit like the Riverdance isn't it?

    Grunge - A great unifier?

For me, rap has to have a melody behind it. I love Jump Around and some Eminem stuff. Tuneless ones though, they just grate for me.
