Mark Robins... One of coventrys greatest ever managers

It's a false causality. It's the success that bring the stability, because you don't change something that's working. Plenty of times a manager change has arrested a poor run of results and potentially changed the outcome. Look at the amount of times we changed a manager in the top flight. Then...

If you took him to Dignitas he'd probably think it was Doncaster.

How often do we just kick it out of play from the kick off?

That's why we're looking to sell the training ground - they're moving to Clifford Bridge Road with the training pitches backing straight onto UHCW and the changing rooms attached to the building. Just saves time really.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Indeed. Tories believe voters are thick as pig shit, but are clever enough to not say as such and act like they aren't. Then laugh behind their backs at their stupidity of voting them in to do things that will be detrimental to their own well-being often just because it's familiar. Other...

I agree. When we get to the March games I'm hoping the two alongside each other with Hamer playing a bit more advanced closer to O'hare to try and use him to feed the striker(s). Last few games it feels like hamer has been trying to do everything himself.

Surprised to see kelly starting. I know he seems very influential in results but why risk bringing him back in a game we'll likely be chasing a lot and lose anyway. Ease him back in. At least James is on the bench to replace him if needbe but think I'll be spending entire game just praying he...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

For me those are things I'd class as 'opposition' rather than putting forward new policy, which I've said is what much of the term should be spent doing.. You're opposing the stance of the governments to refuse to feed kids out of term time or paying for cladding to be replaced.

How many people totally ignore those pounding the streets? Or see them as an inconvenience when they knock on the door or try and stop them in the street. A headline in the papers or on the news or a twitter/facebook viral tweet will have many times more effect and be seen by far more people.

    CCFC Centre Back Stats Comparison

Stats are important in learning stuff but it's dangerous to become totally fixated on them as they can't tell you everything. Some things just aren't quantifiable and you need to use your own eyes as well to get the 'feel' of a player's style of play and what that adds/detracts from the team...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I agree entirely. Although the desire for good governance would see me prefer to have good policies enabled regardless of who puts them in I can see from a party perspective why it's damaging. Why put forward policy now when you can't act upon it. Up to the last year of a sitting government...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Party membership isn't important long term. Tories have much lower membership. Also much of the membership is linked to Unions, so if you go from a left-winger like Corbyn to a more Blairite figure such as Starmer membership was bound to fall. Membership attracts the nutcases at the extremes -...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think the material so far is based on advisors and focus groups rather than Starmer. So far it's basically a message of 'not Jeremy Corbyn', because when asked why didn't you vote Labour and people say 'Jeremy Corbyn' they don't ask why a number of them DID vote for him the previous time...

    Good news for Cov?

Agree entirely about the houses facing the canal. Having the back gardens as you walk along the canal which are either unkempt or overgrown, or have large fences to provide the owners with some privacy. Having the house front the canal with a road/pavement between allows both residents and...

    Good news for Cov?

I agree about the entertainment style venue. I thought different floors of it could be used by businesses such as the indoor golf/cocktail bars, karting, escape room, Laser Quest etc as their all things that could suit the way the building is set out. Some might argue that a few of those might...

    Match Thread Norwich game night

Not going to go too overboard as expected to lose that game, but still disappointing to concede that second dawdling on the ball, just suprised we didn't do the normal thing of tugging them back, giving away a penalty and a red card. Was surprised to see Osti drop out to bring in Fadz, partly...

    Good news for Cov?

As I've put above i agree entirely and feel it could become a Brindley Place. Coal vaults as a small venue is pretty decent and if you had an arts centre on the corner of the ring road by J1 it'd be prominent position and draw people in. Our main performing arts centre is right on the outsdie...
