Not the team I'd have started with. Looks like a team set up to not lose. This a home game against the bottom team. We should be going out to win. Not saying we should be blase, but the intent should be there. This is, IMO, giving them a chance and a bit of a boost. Kelly and James seemed to be...

Fixed. Or are you saving it for post game after we've hopefully picked up three points?

I get about them being elected by bodies. Trouble with that is you get people very much just in that bubble and can't see beyond it. So finance people wouldn't be able to see beyond economic impact, environmental wouldn't be able to see beyond that, health and social care, education, arts etc...

Oh I'm with you entirely on the moving them thing. One of my ideas is for parliament to travel, like the Olympics sort-of, and the most economically depressed areas are given preference. Use it as a regeneration tool. One parliament would see more spending in an area than probably over a...

I agree about expertise etc, but we try and do that now and fail. you get PCC etc or Mayors and you just get people voting on party lines. If they have to be independent it's unlikely they actually will be and it just means parties will have control but not accountability. In white papers we...

Whichever way round it is it's the principle of both being elected but by differing means. I just feel replacing the Lords would be less of a problem (but still a big one) than saying you're changing both or swapping them over it's going to be greeted with a lot more resistance cos people don't...

Must win I reckon. Godden and Walker to start. Get at them with intent. Think you've got to bring Marosi back, even if I'm a bit concerend about him being mentally ready for their physicality. Galling Fadz likely to be missing, so assuming his card isn't rescinded Rose to come in (unless he's...

    Surely we'd have won 3-0?

Disappointing but as long as we beat Wycombe it might not be as bad. Biamou really did miss some good chances and next game I'd like to see us go for it with Walker and Godden starting. Wilson was poor but is Marosi ready for what is likely to be quite a physical Wycombe team? Really annoying...

Used to enjoy his commentary. Clearly enjoyed what he was doing and the occasional gaffes were just part of the package. Shame he's gone, gone, gone.

Agree about the Lords. As I've said before that should be the PV elected chamber to go with the constituency based Commons.

Of course the Queen won't be apolitical, but she knows better than to voice her opinion or try and interfere. We could put in an arrangement that any President had to be independent of a political party, but we all know that won't happen. If anything it'd be more dangerous cos you'd have a...

I'm not saying everything is a step back, just that not everything is a step forward. Sometimes you have to do things wrong to get them right. We became a republic shortly in the 1600's but it was shit and we brought back the monarchy. Doesn't mean the republic was a wrong idea, just they had...

    Piers Morgan leaves GMB

Oh, I agree she ramps it up as part of a performing persona. Not different to how Boris does his bumbling. But when I found out she was head girl at a selective all-girls school I wasn't in the least bit surprised.

Of course males are responsible for male violence against women - the clues in the fucking sentence! But does that mean ALL men are responsible for it? Or even MOST men? As I've said I was brought up in an almost exclusively female household, so I think I've just naturally become accustomed to...

I went there but because at home my family was pretty much all female - mum, sister, two grandmas and an auntie compared to one grandad, it levelled me out. There were certainly a couple of lads who had fucking horrendous views of the role of women, and these weren't exactly ones you'd think...

It's not just one way. I can't be the only one to have been unfortunate enough to have encountered a hen party or girls night out and the harassment they can give guys, especially ones by themsleves, is massive. A stag party would, quite rightly, be thought of as pigs for doing the same to...
