Robins probably thinks that's Palmer. He can't wait to get the favourite dream team of Godden, Palmer and Allen together.
The bigger question is how many goals have Wright and Simms got in them...
This really is a key game.
We came out of the Preston loss almost with a positive feeling. Wright scoring, a formation change which seemed more positive and attacking.
Another loss would be very deflating with eyes looking towards the January window for rescue.
Here’s hoping…
Let's hope we're not struggling so much that Doug has to consider the possibility of relegation and tightening down to cover the risk.
I'd expect 3 or so to be offloaded and 1 CM to come in, and maybe 1 loan.
I mean the more you talk the more it just sounds like blind faith.
The January window is the wildcard. God knows what Doug is thinking, wherever he is.
I’m not convinced Robins knows who to play or what to do.
I guess you can’t polish a turd. But it’s his turd.
At least put your best players on the pitch when you can Sakamoto, Binks, MVE, COH. And keep your worst off, Ayari.
Ayari being picked for a tough away game at Preston seems completely mad.
I fear for him tbh. Lamb to the slaughter.
Hope he proves me wrong.
Shame Sakamoto can’t get a proper run in the team. So much chopping and changing.
Will probably start Wright, Sakamoto and Allen again as the attacking line up. The problem being there's not many goals there (Allen hasn't scored for over a year and Sakamoto for 2 1/2 years).
Guess COH will get the second half...
Here's hoping.
You've got to be a bit sorry for Doug. Showed trust, made good money available and its gone a bit stinky.
Mind you he's probably still £10m up at the moment... He must be thinking hard about the January spend.
