    Left back

We definitely signed Neil Wood permanently. He was here for two seasons and no way would we have loaned him back for a second year.

Coventry city Squad 20/21 So far

As has been said Giles has gone back. Mason is currently first choice and only other option is 19yo Joe Newton. So as it stands even if we bring a LWB in Mason is still important in the squad as back-up

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It is indeed. Doesn't reflect well on Johnson. Attempt to coerce Lewis into toeing the line?

    As it stands

I agree. Those two towards the end of a match could be a nightmare for opposition defences. Far more likely to see one replacing the other I think though. Can't see MR picking two direct running ACM's that will either run rings round the defence or lose the ball each time together.

    As it stands

For me Westbrooke is more of the back-up to Allen. Not got that tenacity for the DCM role. I guess ATM Eccles is that back-up. Jones I think is also more like a back-up for O'Hare with direct running, but can be utilised out wide in a different formation. But I think it shows that the...

    Who else do we need

I think maybe he means 'free to leave' as in we're not going to negotiate further and won't stand in his way if another club makes an offer for him? Also more likely with O'Hare coming in and with Allen, Shipley probably ahead of him in the pecking order and people like Jones and Jobello (Kasta...

    Jonny Depp

Why is everything so surreal these days? TBH the two of them are coming across really badly - like spoilt children and doing nothing for those with the opinions that those in the arts are little more than precious, ego driven fragile individuals unable to take criticism.

    5 Subs Allowed

It does increase the possibility of making it that some players are 'designed' to last 60 mins or as a impact sub for 20 mins and their effort and workrate is based on that. So if a player then has to go beyond that but their training isn't designed for it could make the risk of injury or...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

As for the Gove thing - it seems weird to say they're excluding offices etc because of his failure to wear a mask. It's not come into force yet anyway. Of course it'd be good to see the govt set an example but to exempt places because what ministers have done before anything is actually in force...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

How hard is it to say "if you're in an indoor setting outside of your own house a mask must be worn at all times. Owners of any premises have the right to refuse entry or demand a person leaves that does not follow these instructions. Refusal to comply with these demands will result in...

    Who else do we need

Of course Allen, Shipley and at a push Westbrooke would be the first to think of replacing Kelly. But Allen and Shipley are both more attack minded. Westbrooke doesn't really like getting stuck in tackle wise. None of them have the physicality of Kelly. That's why I thought of Pask - defensive...

Council have a stadium team for CCFC ??

A litigious company that's caused them untold problems in the past looking to jump on even the most minor admin or procedural error.

    Who else do we need

Pask could be the cover for both Fadz and Kelly I guess. Of course what happens if they both got injured? I guess at the mo we'd either have to consider bringing in one of Williams, Drysdale or Eccles for a bit which would prob be asking a bit much of them at that level right now.

Time to draw a line ?

It's a better model than most in football. In most other industries it'd still be considered batshit crazy and unsustainable. But if they can get a deal for the stadium sorted and/or make us comfortable in this division then I'll say yes, we're ahead of where we were when they took over.

    5 Subs Allowed

It needs to be implemented to reduce time wasting and breaking up play. So rules like: 3 tactical subs allowed, 2 injury. Limited to 3 changeover opportunities (+ HT) Any player as an injury sub is automatically not eligible for next game in that competition. No subs allowed in injury time and...

Time to draw a line ?

Well when they took over we had an option to buy our stadium. Now we don't and aren't even playing in it. So I'd say overall we're on about break even, because the debt is a bit lower and our trajectory appears upwards rather than down. But we've not played a game in the Championship yet and...

Time to draw a line ?

It needs to be acknowledged that they've run the club well over the past few years, but again much of that has been down to what has happened on the pitch. They brought the management team in (and if MR hadn't left first time round maybe we'd be doing even better already) so have to have credit...

Time to draw a line ?

Technically they took over a failing business, made it worse and have now got it back to where the started from just without an outlet in the local area.
