It's nothing more than a genetic change to physical appearance that occurred from colonising new habitats when we left Africa. Same as people in colder regions tend to be shorter than those in hot ones to conserve heat. Having said that you would think black people would be from colder regions...

Don't think the Cecil Rhodes statue will suffer the same fate because it's not as accessible - it's high up a building rather than on a plinth. But I think they must be having serious thought to taking it down and replacing it.

Part of this issue people have been using the legal recourse for years to remove the statue. Just constantly ignored. This wasn't an off-the-cuff thing.
