He's a very limited player unable to create much himself and very reliant on other players to line him up on a clear channel to run at goal.
If teams have quality midfielders who can do that for him he will score, we don't have that at the minute.
Agreed. It's mad not to play MVE and Saka together. The only partnership in the whole team that works! And that gives a positive vibe to other players and the fans.
I'd play Wright on the left and Bassette down the middle (for 2 or 3 games at least).
I personally think Robins has so much credit in the bank with fans, the majority would back him even if we were relegated. That's largely an emotional decision.
Doug has a business decision. Relegation will be hugely damaging to the club. Can he oversee that without trying a new manager?
We needed a big, dominating, aggressive, mouthy keeper to come off his line, control the box and help organise our weak ass defense.
Unfortunately Dovin doesn't tick many of those boxes.
Not his fault. It's a recruitment issue.
I don't believe Robins had no say on the assistant manager position.
I agree on experienced player, although maybe easier said than done.
We've bought in a lot of players for a lot of money, and I'm sure Robins was involved in agreeing all of them. Loans shouldn't have been necessary.
The on...
Robins has said he agrees with the development strategy and Doug several times.
Btw Kitching and EMC are both 25. That's where this conversation started.
Strange not playing Saka and MVE together. They were the only partnership that worked well and gave some positive team spirit.
In a scrap I'd probably give Norman more of a go. And play Bidwell when he's back.
Wright is hanging by a thread but has a bit of quality.
I'm sure King chops and changes the team every week, uses subs poorly, can't adapt to opposition changes, hasn't got players to do the basics or work together, can't seem to motivate the players.
King is a terrible manager, right?
Simms is a big lumbering striker with all the negatives of that but very few of the benefits ie. poor in the air, can't hold it up, not particularly strong, not aggressive.
He's very very limited.
You'd hope coaching could develop him but we're not seeing it.
The reality is we don't really have any quality left in the squad.
Wright is probably the pick and he is largely a mess who very occasional sparks.
We've got to play much better as a coherent disciplined team because individuals aren't going to do it.
Being Gimoc I expected Big Sam had slipped on KoS gel, broke his pelvis and is out for 2 or 3 months in Warwick hospital being looked after by a Muslim trying to take over the world by seeding chemtrails.
That about sums him up unfortunately. You'd hope we would see signs of development and improvement in some of those areas but we haven't really.
At the minute he needs someone to lay it on a plate for him and we don't have those players anymore.
