Poll: Robins In or Out? Part 2

Robins is a good manager. We have good players. But you see good “on paper” teams losing all the time. Something in the mix has gone wrong. It’s not tactics/formations/systems, it’s mindset. None of us know what has changed. A bad apple in the mix? A dislike of coaches? Cliques forming in the...

Questions that I genuinely can't answer

Neither, I’d start by saying do you have a good enough bike.

Brighton do it!! Hilarious. Have a look at their recent game v Chelsea.

    Callum O'Hare

Exactly. Moves are cash driven 99% of the time.

Questions that I genuinely can't answer

Correct. And we don’t. The amount of chances we hand to the opposition via this is alarming. And we’re not the only ones.

Moulding a team in His image

Don’t buy this at all. We haven’t spunked our money away. If you look from a purely commercial perspective the value of - at least - Wright, Simms, MVE, Sakamoto, - has increased markedly. Our playing assets are now higher than ever and not centralised in one or two players.

Moulding a team in His image

Jeez. Semantics. Most are excellent players. And it was good generally.

    The “too many cooks” theory

It takes time to get new ideas across. Having said that it makes the decision to allow holidays during the last international break look like the ludicrous decision it was.

Questions that I genuinely can't answer

The modern way is far better of course. CB to CB. CB to RB. RB to CB. And suddenly then the tactical genius is revealed with either 1) Back to keeper to hoof it forward or 2) Cock it up and concede. There have been a lot of “cutting edge” developments in tactics but this current trend takes the...

    Callum O'Hare

It’s simple. Both got more pay. If we’d have offered more they’d have stayed. That’s the way the game works.

    Victor Torp

Call me old fashioned but I want a hell of a lot more out of a central midfielder than that.

Moulding a team in His image

If you look at the targets we’ve landed they’ve all been within Kings “profile”. Those we’ve missed out on haven’t. It’s obvious who is pulling the strings. It’s also why we’ve ended up with good players but an unbalanced squad.

    Victor Torp

Torp is a poor signing for me. Ponderous and unable to cope with the cut and thrust of the Championship. Sakamoto is definitely not in that bracket for me.

    Robins has to go…

Someone dares to have an opinion that isn’t the end of the world is nigh and we’re the same person. Piffle.

    Hot and cold

Wright is the least of our problems. Quality player, leading scorer again, able to trouble most opponents.

    Robins has to go…

No-one is OK with it. The difference is the extent of the reaction.

Moulding a team in His image

We’ve signed good players generally. But we’ve not done it to produce a balanced team. The squad is lopsided

    Robins has to go…

Although that’s just not correct is it. Do you seriously believe if we sold, let’s say, Wright, Simms, Van Ewijk and Rudoni we’d get £8m.

    Robins has to go…

    Utter, incoherent bilge.
