I was thinking the same about Oxford last year to be fair as they had also lost the year previous. And we saw them off!

I actually thought Shipley was our worst player. I don’t think he had a stinker by any means but if one player was likely to drop out based on Friday, it would be him. My opinion only though.

I don’t buy this. The last couple of windows we’ve expected an exodus which hasn’t happened.
Something feels different now. Especially if we go up, I’d expect them all to remain here.

Bloody hell....that’s so weird. I got in our lift today in Vilamoura and saw exactly the same thing and thought of Otis!

My step dad messaged me last night here in the Algarve to say that our tickets were sorted.
Not sure which block but I’m going to be there. Down to the beach for another cold beer I think.
Magic.

What a 24 hrs.
I was straight to bed after last nights match as I was up at 2.30am to head to the airport for a short break to the Algarve.
Now sat at the hotel in the sunshine and ordering a beer to celebrate last nights result and this afternoons result.
Perfect.

I have to agree. I thought the partnership of Doyle/Hughes all those years (seemed like it anyway) was a reason for our decline as they were constants over a largely poor period.
When he came back, I was therefore not overly enamoured but I guess he’s matured more, probably feels he has...
To be fair, he had a great game last night. Some great saves.
But also to be fair, he cost us points in the season.
Agree with sw88, we still need to invest in the GK area next season, regardless of division.
