Is this our biggest game since '87?

I get what you're saying but those games to stay up probably meant we continued to spend above our means for longer, thus starting the inevitable slide. For me (and I appreciate everyone thinks differently) this game is the biggest since 87 as it'll be an opportunity to get to another game...

Is this our biggest game since '87?

Just wondered how folks rate the importance of this game? Off the top of my head, I'd say this is the biggest game since that glorious May day back in 1987. Thoughts?

    Standard of Refereeing

To be fair, I think the standard of refereeing across the board has dropped. There's always contentious decisions every week in the EPL so it's no different. It's been a constant decline as well....in my opinion anyway. Gone are the good old days of Neil Midgely...

    Straight swap?

Agreed. Last time I was at IoW Fest was 2014 I think (or maybe 2012) and remember that! It was Noel Gs first live festival performance with the HFB and I think England were playing Italy. Saying that, the Panama match is at 1pm on the Sunday so hopefully won't be too bad!

    If we lose on Friday...

Why does everyone think there'll be an exodus of players sold in the summer if we don't go up? Bayliss maybe but I can't see McNulty or Willis going. As others have said, if we don't go up, we have a good nucleus of a squad for next season. Jones and Andreu will be like two new signings, get a...

I’m hoping for a boring 0-0 on Saturday

Not sure the other 19 would be up for that, but thanks for the offer. I'm shattered after a looong 3 days at work...just what I need...4 days of non-stop drinking with likely little sleep! Still, looking forward to some sunshine!
