    Sol Campbell

They were 17 points behind having played a game more than the last safe team. They have also been in financial trouble and players have been paid late twice and they still hadn't been paid April's wages at the start of today. In reality, Sol has done a great job. I dislike his personality and...

Tom Davies contract extension. Yes or No ?

Looks like the info was right then. Not even in squad today.

    Willis to Luton?

Didn't he join us at 16 from Birmingham after being released? Agree though he deserves the chance and we need to keep pathway open for more players of his ilk to come through.

    Bayliss

So lack of strength and fight doesn't have to be an 'enforcer'? The poster said that Kelly is too lightweight and yet he doesn't lack in strength or fight. He's not a brute like the poster wanted, instead he is actually a decent footballer who can help the club to move forward.

Really isn't. Bar Sunderland with cattermole I don't remember any of the top 6 having an 'enforcer'

Will it be harder than first thought next season?

I have always maintained this season we would consolidate and next year we will challenge and likely finish in the top 6. I still stand by this, and think we will finish 3rd next year (as long as we make the correct additions.) Invariably 2 of the teams coming down will probably be up there. But...

Football has evolved. Very few teams need a midfield 'enforcer', there is no need for 'heavyweights' and I don't think I have seen many teams employ this anymore. It is a very outdated view on CM's and football in general.

Match Thread Doncaster Rovers vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 4th May

Agree with this, some changes but largely only a strong team. Burge (As i don't think Addai is up to it) Sterling-Williams- Hyam-Mason Wakefield-Kelly-Shipley-Hiwula -----Bright-- Chaplin Bench: Addai, Mcallum,Drysdale,Westbrooke, Thomas, Baka, Ponti Try and remove the dependency on...

    still nothing...

Wishful thinking I would think? Not that i am overly supportive of the Hoffman consortium, but didn't one of there offers include Sisu keeping Ryton and any future sell on fees of players e.g. Wilson. Plus the 7-10 Million in cash... Doubt it's the Wilson money they care about

    Bayliss

I don't really care abut developing one player if it's detrimental to the team. Bright's value would increase with game time, so it's not as if we are guaranteed to lose money. Now that's not to say we should drop Bayliss, or that he is even detrimental to the team. Just the plain fact that if...

We don't have to lose the creativity if it's fluid. Like under Mowbray, if you can have the front 3 interchanging then it can work a treat. It depends on the intelligence of the players of course, but that depending, it means you get the best of both worlds. And it will probably suit Bright...

    Bayliss

Don't think Bayliss has had many good games this season. BUT he is clearly the more talented of the two. I would be tempted to use a midfield 3 and have a fluid 4-3-3 -----New GK------- New RB- Rose/Davies-Hyam-Mason ---Bayliss-Kelly-Shipley --Bright(Hopefully)-Hiwula-New winger/striker...

    Next Seasons Confirmed Squad/Transfer Rumours

I agree, but It could be that if we sign someone else, Davies leaves. Depends on the quality of the player available.

    Next Seasons Confirmed Squad/Transfer Rumours

Not really? As it would have changed the whole outlook of last season? Looking after the financial future of the club is more important.

    Next Seasons Confirmed Squad/Transfer Rumours

Robin's is chasing an answer from Willis as to whether he is going to sign or not. Has somebody lined up by the sounds of it and it is all in place in case, as exepcted, he doesn't sign.

I haven't said Sisu haven't acted poorly, I simply stated it was a one sided view.

Tom Davies contract extension. Yes or No ?

I believe he has a long-term knee issues, that can't be solved (at leats not easily), which is what flares up from time to time and why he misses games.

    Bolton Troubles

Yep agree, no doubt we have gone backwards, and they haven't invested as many would have liked, but in reality if we had not had the Ricoh issues (something they were landed with), something that was caused by many sides, then we would probably not have so much angst towards them.

PFA L1 team of year 18/19

Apologies, I had it in my head Honeyman had an ACL last season, must have imagined that! Gooch as you say 30 appearances by the age of 22/23? Wouldn't say he would walk into championship teams still. Maja was still unproven, lots of players are highly rated but don't hit the heights. Jerome...

ACL in which the council held a 50% stake? As I say both sides are in the wrong, doesn't make Sisu Unfit to be owners. Just makes them typical businessmen( and Women) Edit: i'm also not talking about legal merit, I am talking about 'fit and proper' Would argue that the CCC isn't exactly that...
