I agree, but in a window where we should be looking to sign a top quality CM and two competitive wingers I don’t see how a striker fits in. I can’t see us spending on a permanent deal, and a loan will leave us in the same situation come the summer.

Where does that leave Godden then? If another striker comes in and Simms is second choice he will hardly be seeing any minutes. I think another striker is quite far down the priority list.
