Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield Wednesday Match Thread - Tuesday 26th Dec

You keep repeating yourself, but it doesn't make it correct. We aren't going to agree, all I can say is every referee in my league group, have watched the incident agreed there is nothing in the video to suggest Kitching should be sent off but the referees repositioning is what we should do. If...

I'm not going to keep repeating myself he ran at an angle to get a better view. You are right he didn't run directly into it.

You can disagree if you want, but it is what referees are trained to do. It is the team's responsibilities to control their players. Not the referee's job to get in the middle of it.

I literally said he got it wrong. I never said he got a good view of the original incident.

He didn't at the original kicking off because he was blowing for full-time. Agreed. He did then correctly reposition himself. There is no way he saw the initial kicking off tho. I have said it's a poor decision.

Both wrong. He did exactly what referees are trained to do, get a good view between you and your assistant and let it fizz out which it always does, once it calms down then step in. Poor decision on Kitching based on what i saw but the process was not wrong and didn't 'run in the wrong direction'

    Refereeing

Referee from the Brum games has been promoted to the prem for boxing day. Not surprising. Very good performance last week done well to progress so quickly

It's not just head injuries. It's if the ref deems it serious. But all head injuries are.

    Transfer targets

I didn't say he would get 3x what a new contract offer was? Believe somebody said previously he's on about 10-12 right now (of course we don't know). If he left for free with a signing on fee, which would be substantial, etc I would bet he would get above 30k all in.

Maybe he wants to enjoy is his life when he finishes playing? If i was him I'd leave to earn as much as possible and then retire. It's not greed it's called maximising his earnings. He's hardly going to be a pundit after is he!

    He's not on 25k a week here.

Greed 😂 It's not greed, it's a short career for a footballer, you talk about him going to regret it if he gets injured before Jan. What if he gets a career ending injury after signing an extension as opposed to on triple the wage at a premier League/top championship club? It's greed if we...

Well done for completely ignoring my response and just repeating the same thing. I have said it's a penalty, but I have also said I can't tell you whether the assistant can see it. You being in line means nothing from the angle or assistant on the pitch. There is no way the ref could see it...

You can only say that with the benefit of hindsight. The officials haven't seen the actual infringement

Match Thread Coventry City - Birmingham City Match Thread - Friday 8th Dec

The linesmen would have to be have had a very good view and be totally sure, I can't picture where he or other players are in relation to the incident. If he saw it then of course he should give it, but being a lino is not an easy job. Very easy to say what are they for, but with officiating you...

Match Thread Coventry City - Birmingham City Match Thread - Friday 8th Dec

Bidwell should have been booked first half as I said earlier in the thread. And it wasn't a red card, understand why some think it might be but when you consider all the elements of DOGSO it wouldn't be given by any competent ref, good call. It was a handball but the ref is the other side of...
