Stand him on the hill why the games on

Well yes, but for those visible acts of defiance (which I am in favour of) people actually have to attend games.

See you at the Preston game?

Why do people feel the need to keep repeating the reasons why they are not going? Nobody gives a fuck.

Can anyone say something positive about Arvo/SISU?

And we didn't let Robins go either - he left, citing the city council as one of his main reasons (but of course, fishface and his shitzu henchmen had a gun to his head yada yada yada). Buy hey, why let facts get in the way of a good rant?

    Cov Mad Article

Out of interest, how many posts have you made today in favour of NOPM? I'd say a fair few. Why do people on the other side of the argument have to ration the number of times they use it?

    Italy, Spain, Turkey,

I once had a season ticket at Real Mallorca. Their fans were so indifferent I doubt they'd care. Plenty of examples in England though - Charlton, Bristol Rovers, Brighton, Fulham, Rotherham, where the fans stuck by the club. Different circumstances though obviously.

That's fair enough, can't argue with that. My gut feeling is that there are other options that might be more effective, but that's all it is. I can't see Sixfields gates increasing all that much anyway, even if we continue winning games, so I'll guess we'll get to see how effective NOPM is in...

Can anyone say something positive about Arvo/SISU?

You had made reference to conditions, as though there is somehow a mechanism to negotiate after the offer was made - 'we'll sign your CVA if you do this' so to speak. Haggling. It doesn't work like that I'm afraid. I'm also not sure how it made the prospect of SISU obtaining the Ricoh less...

See you at the Preston game?

Well quite, but I don't think I've heard anyone argue that by attending it will hasten the return. What some are saying is that they don't believe NOPM will make any difference. I'm not sure. I can see the thinking behind the NOPM campaign, but I am not convinced it will work. I am still to...

Can anyone say something positive about Arvo/SISU?

The offer was what it was. Approaching 600K no? This isn't some beach vendor in Turkey haggling over the price of a beaded necklace. There is no haggling. The offer was the offer. They rejected it. Now they will get nothing. Yet still, nobody has managed to make a resonable case for how...

Everyone wants CCFC in Coventry, but opinions differ as to how that might be achieved given that we are where we are. I can't imagine it is a hugely difficult concept to grasp, but some people really seem to struggle with it.

Of course they won't. None of them believe it is permanent, and if they did, they wouldn't go. There is not a single person on these forums or anywhere else that has said they will support a permanent move. That is why the move will not be permanent. Those people who continue to beat the...

OK, so the pitch renovation doesn't represent monies owed, it is something CCFC would like, so it would be their choice to pay for the upgrade if it was something they deemed essential - but that would only happen if they were to return. The monies for the repairs have been offered, so that...

Arena 2000. Does anyone still have one of these...........

I think we'll agree to disagree on that. Was he careless? Absolutely. Can we blame him for a lot? Yes. Selling HR when he did was crazy. Was he greedy? Well, he was a salaried chairman earning over 500K a year, so he did very nicely out of everything and managed to get out unscathed...

Arena 2000. Does anyone still have one of these...........

I actually think the original proposal was a good one - the versatility of a retractable pitch and roof would have opened up all sorts of commercial opportunities not available at any other venue in the country (and that is still the case). BR did a lot of damage to this club, and he was paid a...

Are we now making comparisons with the appeasement of Nazi Germany? This is a new low.

Thank you for the detailed response. Your original statement had a finality about it that was worrying. Perhaps I'm just an optimist, but I cling on to the hope that there is still a chance for all this to resolved with dialogue, although clearly from your perspective item 1 on the agenda is...

Oh come on, can you not see the point I was making? I was being deliberately mischievous of course, but I was trying to make a serious point. Tim Fisher is regarded by many as a rather unpleasant individual - and nobody can seriously dispute that based on recent events. The likes of PWKH...

That sounds very final. Of course, a good man like yourself with all the right intentions I am sure is eager to at least try and do the right thing. I take it then you have been on the phone to the relevant people within the club asking if everyone might get around the table to sort out a deal...

SixReasons Not To Go To Sixfields this Sunday - updated in response to comments!

Point 6 - I have real misgivings about NOPM; I'm not sure it will work and it is very divisive. The alternative? Perhaps we should all turn out in numbers there - but also make ourselves visible. Protest before the game, protest after. One week we all wear black, the next we turn our back on...
