    NEW SPONSOR

Cooperative Bank? They are owned by CBS now! I've never really understood why the Jag have never got involved with sponsoring City. They are inextricably linked with Coventry throughout their history. I suppose Land Rover sponsor a lot of the egg-chasing, but i don't think Jaguar have ever...

Excellent! They have such a good record with Chelsea rejects!

It's the favourite one in my collection! ;) Alternate it at matches with the 2Tone one from 19-20, which i think is the cleverest and most poignant design i have ever seen.

Flashback to the 97/98 Subaru light & dark blue stripes, maybe? Dion, Hucks, Whelan, Soltvedt, Telfer, etc. Great team, that!

    And Collins?

    Robins to United?

Look what happened after Fergie left. Everyone was clamouring for Moyes, since he had managed to save Everton from relegation without a sugar-sheikh owner and limited budget ("Oh won't he be brilliant with pots of money?"). Well, no, he wasn't. He was shit, and they are frankly still trying to...

    New number one needed

I think Aled Williams has some questions to answer. Earlier this season, i thought Collins took much better control of the box than Wilson,, claiming crosses, etc, and i sensed that the back four (when we played in that system) had more confidence in him. Wilson was probably a better...

Me too, if that is any consolation! 🤣

But then they would have had a defence capable of making sure we didn't get back into it

If we had managed to get to the Final, can you imagine the carnage with that Man City front line??

    New number one needed

When "arsing around with it" (and i consider this the entirely suitable expression) we are forever one pass that is under-hit or mis-directed from one of those close forwards snapping it up and either scoring or getting brought down because the defender believes there is no other choice. Sure...

The first goal went straight under him as he dived off his line. It was a keeper's ball all day long. That said, our fullbacks are generally poor at preventing crosses coming in too.

Not for me, shmmeee. I am not far from retiring and being comfortable in retirement is critical to my thinking. My father-in-law's mantra is that the whole point of going to work is to save enough money to enjoy your retirement!!

Probably longer than 14 years. It has been the case that HE sector wages have been behind the inflation curve for as long as i have been in it, which is nigh-on 40 years. Warwick isn't alone in this, as there are nationally agreed pay scales and pay awards.

    Things that annoy you

I would just love to know exactly where all this money for everyone to have a "real-terms" pay rise is going to come from without it crippling business, the public purse and putting inflation and interest rates back through the roof. Warwick University has something approaching 7000 staff. Where...

    Taskmaster

I think he could - i suspect he has been an avid follower of the format for some time and knows how far he can bend the rules of the tasks. I quite like him on Taskmaster, but his partnership with Elis James on 5Live is not my thing at all, and they come across as talentless, entitled muppets

    Things that annoy you

The problem with everyone asking for higher wages is that it will lead to income-driven inflation (noting that the previous inflation rates of 11% or whatever it was were due to supply costs not demand costs, so raising interest rates and putting everyone in debt was not the way to tackle it)...
