Yes, I didn't say the sanctions we have in place right now will work, they need to be much, much tougher. He said so himself, this professor. Hard-line sanctions over a prolonged period.

He quoted them working both in South Africa and in Poland. He was adamant that we will beat Putin on this, but we really will have to stick with sanctions long term, so it will be eventually, rather than within a smallish timescale.
